Indian police arrest over a dozen Kashmiris in Kashmir valley

 Srinagar, January 11,2020:  Indian troops have arrested overa dozen  persons in Srinagar ,Budgam, Bandipora, Kulgam, Pulwama and Shopian districts..Indian troops, paramilitary forces and Special Operation Group during joint cordon and search operations and house raids arrested  Rizwan Ahmed Rather of Methan Chanapora and Shahnawaz Sikandar of Rajpora Pulwama in Nowgam in Srinagar, Irfan Rashid Dar, Shabir Ahmed Gojri, Zahoor Ahmed Parray alias Jaana, Shabir Ahmed Wani, Muhammad Ashraf Shah and Sajad Ahmed Dar, all residents of Hajin town of Bandpora.The official said one of them whom he identified as Zahoor Ahmed Parray alias Jaana was booked under black law Public Safety Act and shifted to Srinagar Central Jail.

Police vehicle mows down 10th student in Srinagar, another young boy in Pulwama operation

 January 08, 2020: Tehseen Nazir, 16, was killed after a Jammu Kashmir Police vehicle mowed him down near Nowgam Chowk in south Srinagar city on Tuesday morning.  An eyewitness, Nazir Ahmad Lone, a nearby shopkeeper said the Police vehicle was coming fast from Natipora to Nowgam Bypass direction when the driver of the vehicle hit a Maruti car and a minor boy. Tehseen, who had left his home, Nowgam at around 9 am to attend his tuition classes at Candid High School was walking on the roadside and was a few meters away from his school when suddenly, a Jammu and Kashmir Police bus that was coming behind him hit him, leaving him in pool of blood. Soon after the incident, locals told media men that the Police started firing, teargass shelling  and used brute force to disperse the  protesters.

Poll boycott call, pro-freedom slogans —prosecution against Yasin Malik, Aasiya Andrabi sanctioned

Srinagar, December 25, 2019: Indian authorities gave sanction for prosecution of jailed leader, Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik and Dukhtaran-e-Millat Chief, Aasiya Andrabi on the charges of raising anti-India slogans and asking people to boycott the election drama, frequently staged by India in the territory. The cases were registered in 2010 and 2018 under the draconian law, Unlawful Activities Act. Muhammad Yasin, Asiya Andrabi , Faheeda Sofi and Nahida Nasreen are detained in Indian Tihar Jails since long time.

India: Deadly Force Used Against Protesters, Police Target Anti-Citizenship Law Demonstrators

(New York   23 Dec, 2019:In New York, Global Rights Watchdog, the Human Rights Watch, has asked the Indian authorities to cease the use of unnecessary lethal force against demonstrators protesting a law that discriminates against Muslims. The Human Rights Watch in a statement posted on its website, today, said since protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act began, at least 25 people have been killed and hundreds arrested. The rights body urged the Indian government to revoke the controversial Citizenship Amendment Act, which violates India’s international obligations to prevent deprivation of citizenship on the basis of race, color, descent and ethnicity.

65-year-old Jamaat leader dies in Allahabad UP jail

Srinagar, December 22, 2019: A 65-year old member of Jamat-e-Islamia Jammu and Kashmir died in Naini central jail Allahabad Jail in Indiaon Saturday  who was detained by authorities under draconian law Public Safety Act (PSA)  in July , 2019  and was shifted to Allahabad Jail,in IndiaThe victim was identified as Ghulam Mohammad Bhat (65) son of Mohammad Sultan Bhat of Kulangam, Handwara.
A family member of the deceased told over phone that Bhat was arrested on July 10 by Police Post Chogal and then shifted to Police Station Mattan, Islamabad. “Two days later, he was shifted to Allahabad Jail India. On Saturday, we were informed by the police about his death,” he said and added family has gone to Allahabad to receive the body of the deceased.

Economy of Kashmir suffered losses of Rs 15,000 crore since Aug 5’ due to militarh lockdown: Trade body

Srinagar, December 05, 2019:The economy of Kashmir has suffered losses of Rs 15,000 crore since August 5, when the Indian government abrogated Article 370 provisions, a commerce body has said that this is just a conservative estimate due to continued lockdown and internet blockade imposed by India.  The Indian Modi Government had repealed provisions of the article that gave special status to the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir, and bifurcated it into union territories of Ladakh, and Jammu and Kashmir and placed Kashmir under prison. 

Indian Army guilty of committing acts of Genocide in Kashmir: Buddhist Tribunal on Human Rights

 December 3, 2019Hong Kong – On a historic day for Buddhism and for human rights at an international level, on November 25 the Buddhist Tribunal on Human Rights has declared the Indian Army guilty of committing acts of Genocide in Kashmir among other charges, says a press release emailed to Kashmir Watch.

خواتین پرتشدد کے خاتمے کا عالمی دن 25 نومبر کو منایا جاتا ہے۔ جموں کشمیرمیں کشمیر ی خواتین بھارتی فوجیوں اورپولیس اہلکاروں کی طرف سے انسانی حقوق کی بدترین خلاف ورزیوں کا شکار ہیں  بھارتی فوجیوں نے خواتین کی بے حرمتی کی جن میں کنن پوشپورہ میں کپواڑہ اجتماعی زیادتی کا شکار، شوپیاں میں جنسی زیادتی کے بعد قتل کی جانے والی دو خواتین اور کٹھوعہ میں آٹھ سالہ بچی آصفہ بانو کو اغوا اور بے حرمتی کرنے کے بعد قتل ہونے والے خواتین بھی شامل ہیں ہیومن رائٹس واچ پورٹ کے مطابق زیادتی کے بیشتر واقعات محاصرے اور تلاشی کے آپریشنز کے دوران پیش آئے۔ ایچ آر ڈبلیو کی ایک اوررپورٹ کے مطابق، کشمیر میں بھارتی اہلکاروں نے عصمت دری کو انسداد بغاوت کے حربے کے طور پر استعمال کیا ہے تنازعہ کشمےر کی وجہ سے کشمےری خواتےن سب سے زےادہ متاثر ہوئی ہےں کشمیریوں کی حق پر مبنی تحریک آزادی کو کمزور کرنے کیلئے بھارتی فوجیوںکی طرف سے کشمیری خواتین کو جنسی طورپر ہراساں کرنا روز کا معمول بن گیا ہے۔ حریت رہنماءسیدہ آسیہ اندرابی ، فہمیدہ صوفی اور ناہیدہ نسرین گزشتہ تین برس سے بھارت کی بدنام زمانہ تہاڑ جیل میں غیر قانونی طورپر مسلسل نظربند ہیں جبکہ متعدد خواتین جموں اور کشمیر کے جیلوں میں بھی بند رکھے گئے ہیں جنوری 1989ء سے اب تک بھارتی فوجیوں کے ہاتھوں کشمیر میں خواتین کو بہت نقصان اٹھانا پڑا ہے۔ جسمیںخواتین کی بے حرمتی کی جن میں کنن پوشپورہ میں اجتماعی زیادتی کا شکار ہونے والے خواتین بھی شامل ہیں۔  خواتین کے ساتھ زیادتی کی گئی ، تشدد کا نشانہ بنایا گیا۔ معذور اور قتل کیا گیا۔ کشمیری خواتین دنیا میں بدترین جنسی تشدد کا شکار ہیں۔ ایک اندازے کے مطابق 9فیصد کشمیری خواتین جنسیاستحصال کا شکار ہوئی ہیں۔بھارتی فوج کی چوتھی اجپوتانہ رائفلز کے جوانوں نے 23 فروری 1991 کو جموں و کشمیر کے ضلع کپواڑہ کے ایک گاو¿ں کنن پوش پورہ میں سرچ آپریشن شروع کیا۔جس کے بعد 23 خواتین کی عصمت دری کی گئی۔
