RSS organises weapons training camp on Kerala college premises

 Students call incident a ‘serious threat to peace and social harmony’

Thiruvananthapuram, April 22 : A weapons training camp conducted by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) on the premises of Mar Ivanios College in capital city of the southern state of Kerala has triggered widespread protests from student bodies, who have raised strong objections to the use of an educational institution for “unconstitutional and dangerous activity.” 
According to Kashmir Media Service, the RSS, a Hindu paramilitary organisation affiliated with the broader Sangh Parivar, held the camp in preparation for a scheduled officers’ training event on 2 May. Footage this week shows men engaged in weapon drills on the college ground, sparking public criticism and demands for accountability.

Hindutva outfits Bajrang Dal, VHP disrupt Easter Celebrations in Gujarat

Ahmadabad, April 22 : Hindutva  outfits Bajrang Dal and Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) members disrupted Christian community’s Easter celebrations in Odhav area of Ahmedabad city, Gujarat, India.  A video of the Hindutva activists wielding sticks and chanting ‘Jai Shri Ram’ slogans surfaced on social media.
Around 100 members of the Christian community, including children, were present at the event when the disruption occurred. Instead of taking action against culprits, police took representatives from the Christian community to the station.

Drug addiction crisis deepens as 2 millions battling heroin epidemic in IIOJK

 Srinagar, March 11 : Around two million people out of the 12 million population in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir are battling heroin addiction, a crisis largely attributed to India’s brutal occupation of the territory.A report by Al Jazeera has highlighted the devastating impact of drug addiction on the youth in occupied Jammu and Kashmir, surpassing even Indian Punjab.

Srinagar, March 08 (KMS): As the world is observing the International Women’s Day on March 8, today, the sufferings and victimization of Kashmiri women at the hands of Indian troops, police and agencies continue unabated in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
A report by the Research Section of Kashmir Media Service, released on this occasion, reveals the devastating impact of Indian state terrorism on women in IIOJK. Since January 2001, at least 688 women have been martyred by Indian forces’ personnel. The report further highlights that, since January 1989, 22,981 women have been widowed, while 11,266 have been molested or disgraced at the hands of Indian troops, underscoring the ongoing brutality and suffering endured by Kashmiri women.

Jailed Kashmiri leader, Shabir Ahmad Shah conveyed a message to the people from Tihar Jail


Srinagar, March 5" The Jailed senior All Parties Hurriyat Conference leader and Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, has praised the people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir for displaying unwavering commitment to the UN-pledged right to self-determination.

According to Kashmir Media Service, in a message in connection with the holy month of Ramadan from New Delhi’s Tihar Jail, Shabbir Ahmad Shah lauded the strong display of bravery, moral integrity, unity and brotherhood by the Kashmiris, emphasizing that hardships and challenges are an integral part of the journey toward freedom from Indian slavery. He expressed confidence that despite all odds, the Kashmiri people will continue to safeguard their collective interests in their pursuit of freedom. 
 
The APHC leader  called upon the global Muslim community, particularly the OIC member countries to play a proactive role in addressing the plight of Kashmiris. At the end of his message, Shabbir Ahmad Shah reaffirmed his commitment to the Kashmir’s freedom cause and advised the people to remain united in their struggle for the right to self-determination.

Rajouri varsity teachers start hunger strike against professor’s suspension

Jammu, March 04 (KMS): Teaching faculty members of the Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU) in Rajouri district of occupied Jammu and Kashmir have started an indefinite hunger strike, declaring it as ‘fast unto death’, in protest against ‘arbitrary and unjust’ suspension of an Assistant Professor of the varsity.

Jammu, February 24, 2025: The victim Makhan Din’s wife, Zona Begum, is four months pregnant and now faces an uncertain future with their two daughters, in Kathua area of the Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Indian forces of Special Operation Group arrested a 25-year-old Makhan Din in Perody, area of Kathua district and after inhumanly tortured in police custody he forcibly commits suicide on 6 Feb 2025.

Complete shutdown to be observed in IIOK on Maqbool Butt’s martyrdom day

Srinagar, February 10 : Complete shutdown will be observed, tomorrow, in  occupied Kashmir, to mark the 41th martyrdom anniversary of prominent Kashmiri liberation leader, Muhammad Maqbool Butt. Call for the strike has been given by the All Parties Hurriyat Conference and other pro-freedom leaders and organizations.
