Grenade attack on Indian police party in Kishtwar, no casualty reported

 Jammu, Jan 22 , 2021:  Unknown persons on Friday hurled a grenade at an Indian police party in Dadpeth on Chaatroo highway in Kishtwar in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Official sources told GNS that there was no loss of life or injury reported in the incident even as the entire area has been cordoned off by Indian troops to nab the attackers. It is after a very long time that any such incident has been reported in the district.

KTA demands immediate restoration of 4G internet services

Srinagar, Jan 22 , 2021: Trade Alliance (KTA) has demanded immediate restoration of 4G internet services in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. KTA President Ajaz Shahdhar in a statement in Srinagr said that “We want the government to restore 4G in Jammu & Kashmir, that will help in  Trade, Education and Media Activities".He said the reach of wire-based internet services is limited in Kashmir valley and not every student has access to it. "It becomes impossible to students to attend a online lectures on 2G mobile speed", he said.

Gawkadal Massacre 31st anniversary echoes of injustice

Srinagar, January 21 : Gawkadal Massacre is one of the brutal massacres in the history of Kashmir. 31 years ago it shocked the entire region and humanity gauging by scale of tyranny unleashed by the state against peaceful protesters .
One cannot miss the basic facts that the Gawkadal massacre was named after the Gawkadal bridge in Srinagar, Kashmir, where, on 21 January 1990, the Indian paramilitary troops of the Central Reserve Police Force opened fire on a group of Kashmiri protesters in what has been described by some authors as "the worst massacre in Kashmiri history".At least 50 people were killed (according to survivors, the actual death toll may have been as high as 280 .
Pertinent to mention, the massacre happened two days after the Government of India appointed Jagmohan as the Governor for a second time in a bid to control the mass protests by Kashmiris.It happened during the mass leaving of Kashmiri Pandit community .

Indian troops arrested two youth in South Kashmir

 Srinagar, Jan 20, 2021: Indian troops during cordon and search operations arrested two youth in Islamabad district. Indian troops during naka at multiple places and intensified checking arrested Ayaaz Ahmad and Rayees Ahmad   in different areas  of the district. On the other hand, a woman identified as Rupali Vaid (54)was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Gandhi Nagar area of Jammu city in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. 

Indian army attempts to occupy play ground in Srinagar

Srinagar, Jan 18, 2021: the people staged a protest against the Indian army who is trying forcibly  to occupy a playground in Srinagar city. The protesters at press enclave in Srinagar city said that from the past week, the Indian army is regularly visiting the playground and they started fencing work in Chattabal area of cit in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The local while expressing concern  over grabbing land by Indian Army said “Where will our children go if the Indian Army occupies this playground? 

UK MPs reject India’s stance on Kashmir, call for freedom in Kashmir

January 15, 2021: The British Parliament (MPs) have expressed concerns over human rights abuses by Indian forces in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.  The debate on IIOJK, proposed by Labour MP Sarah Owen, saw all parliamentarians in agreement “to hold the Indian government accountable for its abusive behaviour, especially in the Kashmir Valley”. They also hoped that British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who is due to make a visit to India at some point, will raise the IIOJK issue with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and seek his reassurance that “all is being done to seek a permanent solution to the Kashmir dispute”.

India: Growing Crackdown on Activists, Critics Attacks on Muslims, Marginalized Groups; Abuses Persist in Kashmir

 New York, January 13, 2021 (KMS):  The international human rights watchdog body Human Rights Watch (HRW)  has denounced Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government for intensifying repression in Jammu and Kashmir, targeting Muslims in India and for harassing, arresting and prosecuting activists, journalists, and others critics. In its World Report 2021, New York-based Human Rights Watch (HRW) said the government continued to impose harsh and discriminatory restrictions on Muslim-majority areas in Jammu and Kashmir since revoking the state’s constitutional status in August 2019 and splitting it into two federally governed territories. Attacks continued against minorities, especially Muslims, even as authorities failed to take action against BJP leaders who vilified Muslims and BJP supporters who engaged in violence, the report said.

Two more die of heart attack in Kashmir, toll 15 in 2 weeks

Srinagar-January 13, 2021: With the death of two more women due to heart attack in the past 24 hours in the Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the death toll from the cardiovascular decease has risen to 15 in the past about two weeks in the Kashmir valley. The  experts have warned increase in the cardiac arrest cases during winter due to severe cold in case precautionary measures are not taken.

Indian police arrested seven Kashmiri youth

Srinagar, Jan 11. 2021: Indian police arrested over seven youth in Pulwama and Poonch districts in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Indian police during house raids arrested three youth from Awatipore area of Pulwama district and four youth  in Mandher area of Pooch district. Indian forces on Monday claimed to have arrested Shezaan Gulzar Beigh from Gadhikhal Chersoo and Waseem-ul-Rehman Sheikh from Midoora Awantipora on supporting freedom struggle. The youth were using Facebook Page, the statement reads.
