United Nations, May 03:  Rana Ayyub, an Indian journalist writing for US media, has called for shifting global attention to media freedom in India as she spoke at a UNESCO-sponsored event at the General Assembly. 

Washington, May 2: The Indian American Muslim Council (IAMC) has welcomed the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom’s (USCIRF) decision to recommend India as a Country of Particular Concern (CPC) for its severe violations of human rights and religious freedoms for the fourth consecutive year.

 WASHINGTON, D.CApril 18:  The Indian American Muslim Council (IAMC) has condemned US Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo’s recent comments praising Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi despite the ongoing persecution of religious minorities, journalists, activists and critics in India.IAMC is a Washington-based advocacy group dedicated to safeguarding India’s pluralist and tolerant ethos.Speaking at an event organised by the Indian Embassy on Sunday, Raimondo claimed Modi as “unbelievable, visionary” and “the most popular world leader for a reason.”
