 New Delhi, March 29:  The Socialist Party India  (SPI) has  condemned the NRC-CAA project as an anti-people political tool that undermines the rights and citizenship of Indian citizens mostly the Muslim community in India.  Socialist Party (India) in a statement issued  in New Delhi has highlighted the persisting concerns regarding destabilisation of the Northeast region and the discriminatory impact on Muslim citizens has urged  all Indians to unite in protest against the newly proposed amendment rules.

New Delhi, March 26: The U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) expressing concern over the Indian BJP Government’s notification of rules to implement the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA), has saidthat no one should be denied citizenship based on religion or belief.

 SRINAGAR, March 23): In the heart of Srinagar’s Miskeen Bagh, tragedy unfolded on a fateful evening in  May,1996, casting a long shadow of injustice over the lives of Muhammad Ramzan Bhat’s family. Ramzan, a humble shopkeeper, who doubled up as a daily wager, and the sole provider for his household, was forcibly detained by the dreaed personnel of the Special Operations Group (SOG), tortured and  killed in custody, and wrongly passed off as a militant killed in a gun-battle.

 New Delhi, March 22: The recent World Inequality Database report has revealed that India’s economic inequality has reached levels worse than those experienced during the British Raj era. Despite boasting impressive infrastructure and economic growth, the country is grappling with staggering income and wealth disparities, raising concerns over the sustainability of such inequality.

 Dehradun ,March 22: 86 Muslim traders out of 91 have been asked to leave the town by the local traders’ association dominated by the Hindutva BJP and RSS  in Dharchula, city of Uttarakhand state in India.  The situation escalated when the local traders’ association not only asked the Muslim traders to leave but also cancelled the registration of their shops.

New Delhi, March 3: The  Indian renowned intellectual, social worker, author, and champion of the rights of the Christian community, John Dayal has expressed grave concern over the deliberate attempt by the Hindutva BJP Indian government to target minority communities in India.The recent shutting down of the Maulana Azad Foundation by the BJP government has ignited a firestorm of criticism  and concern from various quarters concerned with minority affairs. The renowned intellectual, social worker, author, and champion of the rights of the Christian community, John Dayal, talking exclusively  to media said the closure of the fund and several other decisions are part of a disturbing trend. He sees these decisions as Narendra Modi’s agenda to dismantle established frameworks safeguarding minority rights.

Kendrapara (Odisha, India), March 3:  An Indian army personnel committed suicide by shooting himself dead with his service rifle in Odisha state in India.  A 35-year-old Indian army man allegedly shot himself dead with his service rifle at DRDO's Radar Observatory Air Surveillance unit in Odisha's Kendrapara district, Indian police said on Sunday. 

 Ranchi,Mar 03, 2024 : A woman from Spain was  gang-raped in disturbed  Jharkhand state in India.The incident took place when the tourist couple was spending the night at a makeshift tent at Kurumahat in Hansdiha police station of Dumka district of the state.The couple had reached Indian city Dumka from Bangladesh on two motorcycles and was en route to Bihar and then Nepal.
