Ghost Advertisers Promoted BJP on Facebook during Elections: Investigation

 New Delhi. March 29:  The Journalists of The Reporters’ Collective who carried out an investigation into the political advertisements placed on Facebook found a hidden world of ghost and surrogate advertisers which promoted the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) during 2019 general elections and state elections till November 2020 in India.

Converted Muslims in Tamil Nadu Complain of Losing Out on Govt Jobs

 Chennai, March 29: The Muslims in Indian state Tamil Nadu who have converted from other religions have lamented that they are not considered for reservation in government jobs by the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC).
Those who convert from BC, MBC, and SC to Muslim must be considered under that reservation instead of the present’ Others’ category for all converted Muslims, said Justice (Rtd) Akbar Ali

Mentally Unsound Youth Found Hanging In Budgam

Srinagar, Mar 28, 2022: A 23-year-old mentally unsound youth was found hanging  in Budgam  district on Monday morning in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
The mentally unsound youth was found hanging at his home  in Kokerbagh Khag area of the district following which he was subsequently rushed to PHC Khag where doctors declared him brought dead.

Hijab not allowed in board exams in Karnataka

 Bangalore, March 28 : The Karnataka  state government refused to allow  head scarp/HIjab in classrooms during exams even as many Muslim girls would not able to attend the exams if they were not allowed to wear the head scarf. Amid the hijab ban, the Karnataka state board examinations for 10th standard will begin on Monday in which more than 8.76 lakh students are appearing for the exam in over 40,000 halls in 3,440 centres across the state. “After the high court order, we’ve not allowed that (hijab). We’ve given clarification that they (students with hijab) can come into the campus wearing the hijab but they cannot put it on in the classroom. The same condition will apply during the exams,”  the BJP government’s Primary and Secondary Education Minister B.C. Nagesh said.

Man rapes and kills teen in Chhattisgarh

 Korba, March 2: A teenage girl  student was  raped and killed in India disturbed state man in Chhattisgarh. The Class 12 student was  raped and killed by a 23-year-old man in  Surajpur district  of the sate and the latter tried to pass it off as a case of suicide, police said.  The police arrested the man, identified as Sabir Ali alias Baba Khan, who allegedly strangled the victim to death and then hanged the body from a ceiling fan at her house in Bhatgaon police station limits, Surajpur Additional Superintendent of Police Harish Rathore said.

MP University starts ‘Probe’ after hijab clad girls seen praying in university

 Bhopal, March 28 : The  Indian state Madaya Pradesh university has started probe after girls prayed with head scarp/ hijab in the University. A  video that shows a Muslim student in hijab offering Namaz in a Madya Pradesh university has led to objection and criticism. The video, shared on social media, shows the student offering Namaz allegedly inside a classroom in Dr. Harisingh Gour Sagar University, a central institution. A Hindutva group, Hindu Jagran Manch, has complained to the university administration to act against the student. The university said it has ordered an investigation.

Punjab records 3rd highest custodial death in India

 Patiala, March 28 :  The Punjab had recorded the third highest number of deaths in judicial custody in the last five years after Uttar Pradesh and Bihar states of India. Tthe advisory, issued by the ADGP (Law and Order) has said that the custodial deaths is a serious matter and indicates lapses in supervision of police stations by senior officers in Punjab in India.

8 including a journalist killed, 44 injured in Andhra Pradesh misap

Tirupati (AP), March 28: Eight people including a journalist were killed and 44 injured were injured in a road mishap in Andhra Pradesh in India. The accident occurred when an over-speeding private bus lost control while negotiating a curve on a ghat road and fell into a valley at Bhakarapet in Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh, police said. The victims, all relatives, belonged to Anantapuramu district and were on their way to Tirupati from Dharmavaram to attend a wedding engagement ceremony scheduled, police added.
