Bengaluru, April 14: The Congress leaders DK Shivakumar, Siddaramaiah, and others were detained as police stopped them from marching towards CM Bommai's residence in Karnatka state's city Bengaluru.
The Congress was demanding for Karnataka Minister KS Eshwarappas's resignation in connection with contractor Santosh Patil's death.
Meanwhile, the clamour for the resignation of BJP leader and Karnataka minister K Eshwarappa over corruption allegations against him has reached Indian Home Minister Amit Shah's doorstep.
Staging a massive protest outside Shah's residence in Delhi, workers of the Indian Youth Congress demanded the removal of Eshwarappa, who has been booked in the suicide case of contractor Santosh Patil. Patil stated in a purported suicide note, sent to his friends over WhatsApp, that Eshwarappa had been demanding bribes. Eshwarappa, meanwhile, denied knowing the contractor.
