HRW wants pellet guns banned in Kashmir

New York, September 04, 2020: The New York-based international rights watchdog, Human Rights Watch (HRW) has asked the Indian authorities to prohibit its armed forces in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir from using pellet guns to disperse protesters.  The Human Rights Watch in a statement issued in New York said that Indian police and paramilitary forces used pellet firing shotguns as well as teargas shells at a Muharram procession in Srinagar on August 29, 2020, injuring dozens of people.

Human rights Watch seeks impartial probe into extrajudicial Shopian killing in IIOJK

 New York, August 16, 2020: The Human Rights Watch has said that the Indian authorities should immediately order an independent, impartial investigation into the extrajudicial killing of three labourers by Indian forces in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, last month.

Amenty seeks independent probe into Shopian extrajudicial killing

Bengaluru, August 13,2020:The Amnesty International has sought independent and transparent investigation into extrajudicial killing of three labourers by Indian Army in Shopian area of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The labourers identified as Abrar Gujjar, Imtiyaz Gujjar and Abrar Khan from Rajouri district were killed by Indian Army’s 62 Rashtriya Rifles during a cordon and search operation at Keller Amshipora in Shopian district on July 18, 2020. Indian troops during the operation claimed that the killed persons were “militants”. The families of the labourers said that they had left their homes on 16th July to find work in Kashmir Valley.
 

Three labourers from Rajouri go missing in Kashmir, killed in fake encounter

Srinagar, August 10 , 2020: The three youth, martyred by Indian troops in a fake encounter in Shopian, have been identified as the Kashmiri labourers of Rajouri district in Indian Illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. 
The youth identified as Abrar Gujar, Imtiyaz Gujar and Abrar Khan were killed by Indian Army’s 62 Rashtriya Rifles during a cordon and search operation at Keller Amshipora in Shopian district on July 18, 2020. Two of the victims were working locally as masons, said a student from a nearby village and had worked in the locality for many years. The Indian troops during the operation claimed they were “militants”.

Journalists facing hurdles in performing duties in Occupied Kashmir

 Srinagar, August 08 , 2020:Renowned Kashmiri journalist, Yousuf Jameel, in an article wrote that while people from all walks of life have been facing severe difficulties after the repeal of Kashmir’s special status by Narendra Modi government on August 5, last year, the journalists are also facing hurdles in performing their professional duties. He maintained that several journalists, who opposed the Indian government's measures, were charged with sedition and some are still imprisoned.  The people from all walks of life in Indian illegally occupied Kashmir have been facing severe difficulties after the Narendra Modi-led fascist Indian government of Bharatiya Janata Party illegally repealed Kashmir’s special status on August 5, last year and imposed a military siege, the journalists are also facing hurdles in performing their professional duties.

Curfew, restrictions in Indian occupied Kashmir

Srinagar, Aug 04, 2020: The curfew and strict restrictions continued in the Kashmir valley ahead of August 5, which will be observed as Yaum-e-Istehsal across the Line of Control and the world over  tomorrow on Wednesday. The Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir  is already under military siege from August 5 last year while there were already strict restrictions in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, which were increased on Eidul Azha and now the authorities blocked all roads and tightened by deployment of more forces ahead of the completion of one year of the revocation of Jammu and Kashmir’s special status by the fascist Modi government of India on August 5, last year.
