July 2, 2020LETTERS: We vehemently condemn the recent murder of a person in front of his grandson by Indian troops in Srinagar, Kashmir.We are outraged by the horrendous killing of an unarmed civilian in front of his grandson by the Indian Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in Sopore, Srinagar, yesterday. The shocking images of a 3-year-old boy, whose grandfather was killed in the Sopore attack on Wednesday morning, is a clearly barbaric crime.
The killing of the civilian, Bashir Ahmed Bashir, reflects the terrorism carried out by India in Kashmir.
Srinagar, May 13, 2020 : Several people were injured by Indian troops and police firings on mourners in Budgam district. A news of the killing of Mehrajuddin Shah by Indian troops in Kawoosa area spread in his village, despite restrictions hundreds of men and women began chanting “Go India, go back” and “We want freedom”. Indian police fired pellet and teargas shells on protesters and injured several including a 21-year-old girl in Kawoosa area of the Budgam district .
The injured girl as per the eye witnesses was shifted to SMHS Hospital in Srinagar after she sustained pellet injuries in her eye. Locals said that Indian policemen chased the protesters and later indiscriminately fired pellets in the by-lanes of Kawoosa area.

Srinagar, May 13, 2020 : Indian paramilitary forces shot at and martyred a Kashmiri identified the deceased as Peer Mehrajudin in Budgam district, today. The civilian identifed as Peer Mehrajudin son of Ghulam Nabi a resident of Makhama village in Beerwah Budgamin Budgam district, today, was killed after Indian paramilitary Central Reserve Police Froce (CRPF) fired on him when he was going on his vehicle near Kawoosa Khalisa in Narbal area of the district.

A young and promising journalist, Tanveer started his career working with news gathering agency PBI run by Helpline Group. 38-year-old Ahad, who is survived by wife and three children, was admitted at SMHS hospital Srinagar on Saturday with unbearable pain.
Srinagar, May 12 : Two Indian Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) officers committed suicide in two different places in Srinagar and Islamabad districts, today. A CRPF ASI Fateh Singh committed suicide by shooting self with service rifle on Tuesday morning at Akrun Mattan in Islamabad district . Reports said that Indian forces rushed to the area after hearing the gunshot and recovered Singh’s body in a pool of blood. The CRPF sub-inspector Fatah Singh who had left behind a suicide note that read: “I am afraid, I may have corona.” Officials told media men .

The mobile phones too have not been restored yet causing huge inconvenience to people amid Covid-19 pandemic in Pulwama and Shopian districts.
