India sees increase in suicides among wage workers: Reprot says

 New Delhi, September 20 :The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic over the last two years, and the absence of a social security net, has led to a marked increase in suicide among daily wage workers in India. The report by Deutsche Welle, Germany, said that one out of every four people who take their life in India is a daily wage labourer.Achal Bhagat, a psychologist from Delhi, told media that the number of people taking their own lives has increased significantly in India. However, this number is likely to be much higher than the given data. He said that poverty can cause mental problems in many ways.
