February 1, 2018New Delhi: The India's National Investigation Agency (NIA ) on Thursday told a Delhi court that a freelance photo-journalist, arrested last year for alleged stone-pelting and other cases in Kashmir Valley opposed the bail application of Kamran Yusuf before Additional Sessions Judge Tarun Sherawat, claiming the allegations levelled against him were “serious”.

Srinagar, November 7, 2016: A family from North Kashmir has been living in a rented house in Bandipora after as per the family; an Indian Army unit from 13 Rashtirya Rifles forcibly occupied their residential house in 2006, located in Argam  of Bandipore district. “It was March 4, 2006, when Indian Army personnel forcibly entered into my house and occupied it and since then all my efforts to retrieve the house have proved futile as neither authorities nor the India Army is ready to help me.

New Delhi, August 02 : Four Kashmir scholars, invited to a conference in Turkey, were denied boarding passes by the authorities concerned at the airport.
Mohammad Iqbal Rather, Showkat Dar, Mohammad Dawood Sofi, who study at Aligarh Muslim University, and Meraj-ud-din and Bilal Ahmad of Kashmir University, were scheduled to attend a nine-day summer school conference on the Concept of Social Justice in Islam at Konya in Turkey beginning Saturday, media reports said.

Srinagar, April 22, 2014: Unidentified gunmen have killed three persons in two separate attacks in Pulwama district.
The unknown gunmen shot at and killed Muhammad Anwar Khanday, Ghulam Nabi Mir and his son, Firdous Ahmad Mir (24-year old), in Tral area of the district.

(New York, January 17, 2014) – Indian authorities in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh should immediately stop evicting people from camps who fled communal violence in September 2013, Human Rights Watch said today. State authorities should conclude their investigations into riot-related crimes, including alleged sexual violence, and initiate appropriate prosecutions.  

Srinagar, December 6, 2012:  In Sriangar, the study report has revealed that as many as 500 Indian paramilitary and police personals including the senior officials are involved in human rights abuse in Jammu and Kashmir in last more than two decades of military violence.  Two human rights groups Thursday said that 235 Indian army men, 123 paramilitary personnel, 111 policemen and 31 government sponsored gunmen were involved in 214 cases of human rights violations in Kashmir.
