 July 2, 2020LETTERS: We vehemently condemn the recent murder of a person in front of his grandson by Indian troops in Srinagar, Kashmir.We are outraged by the horrendous killing of an unarmed civilian in front of his grandson by the Indian Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in Sopore, Srinagar, yesterday. The shocking images of a 3-year-old boy, whose grandfather was killed in the Sopore attack on Wednesday morning, is a clearly barbaric crime.
 The killing of the civilian, Bashir Ahmed Bashir, reflects the terrorism carried out by India in Kashmir.

Srinagar, June 14 , 2019: The Kashmir Press Club (KPC) has strongly condemned the assault and seizure of cameras of the photo journalists Qasir Mir and Kamran Yousuf by Indian troops in south Kashmir’s Pulwama.

  جون 2019 سرینگر 13//بشری حقوق کی عالمی تنظیم ایمنسٹی انٹرنیشنل نے کہا ہے کہ کالے قانون پبلک سیفٹی ایکٹ (پی ایس اے) ایک ایسا قانون ہے جسکے ذر یعے ” انسداد جرم کے عدالتی نظام کو بالائے طاق رکھ کر احتسابی نظام، شفافیت اور انسانی حقوق کو نظر انداز کیا جاتا ہے۔“ایمنسٹی نے ایک رپورٹ میں اعداد شمار ظاہر کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ 2007سے 2016 تک 2400سے زائد افراد کو اس قانون کے تحت نظر بند رکھا گیا جن میں سے58 فیصدحکم ناموں کو عدالتوں نے کالعدم قرار دیا
ایمنسٹی انٹرنیشنل انڈیا نے مطالبہ کیا کہ وہ پی ایس اے اور اس جیسے تمام قوانین کو جو انتظامی نظربندی کے لیے استعمال کیے جا رہے ہیں، فوری طور پرمنسوخ کرے اور اس بات کو یقینی بنائے کہ اس قانون کے تحت غیر قانونی طور پر نظربند تمام افراد مکمل طور پر رہا ہوں اور ان کی مشکلات دور ہوں۔انسانی حقوق کی تنظیم ایمنسٹی انڈیا نے یہ بھی مطالبہ کیا ہے کہ وہ غیر قانونی حراستوںِ، اور قید میں اذیت رسانیوں اور تشدد کے تمام الزامات کی آزاد اور غیر جانبدارانہ تحقیق کرے اور ان واقعات میں ملوث افراد کو سزا دلائے
 انتظامیہ نے بدھ کو ایمنسٹی انٹرنیشنل کی جانب سے ”بے لگام قانون کا ظلم، جموں وکشمیر پی ایس اے کے تحت بلا الزام مقدمہ اور نظربندی“ کی رپورٹ منظر عام پر لانے پر روک لگا کر اس کا خلاصہ کرنے کی اجازت نہیں دی ۔ ایمنسٹی انٹرنیشنل کی طرف سے سرینگر کے ایک مقامی ہوٹل میں ایمنسٹی انٹرنیشنل انڈیا کے ایگزیکٹو ڈائریکٹر آکار پٹیل،پروگرام ہیڈ آشمتا اور مقامی محقق ظہور احمد وانی کو اس رپورٹ کا خلاصہ میڈیا کے سامنے پیش کرنا تھا،تاہم ایمنسٹی انٹرنیشنل کے مطابق گورنر انتظامیہ (کشمیر اس وقت صدارتی راج نافذ ہے) کی طرف سے انہیں اس کی اجازت نہیں دی گئی،
 

Srinagar, November 09: In Srinagar, a forum of journalists in Kashmir has strongly condemned the threats issued by former Senior Superintendent of Police and senior People’s Democratic Party leader, Syed Ashiq Hussain Bukhari to the editor of a local daily Kashmir reader and prominent journalist Showket Ahmad Motta.

Srinagar, August 26, 2014: Ayoung Kashmiri journalist, who also reports for IBNS news agency, has said that he has been harassed by a top ranking Indian Army officer for revealing the sources of his news gathering.
Saleem Iqbal Qadri, who as a correspondent reports for IBNS on all events of Jammu and Kashmir, said that Indian Army official is forcing him to reveal his news sources to them.

Srinagar, June 13, 3014 : The family members of Public Safety Act (PSA) detainee Wasim Bashir Sofi through their counsel have filed contempt charges against State Home Department for defying the court directions to shift Wasim from District Jail Kathua to Juvenile Home Srinagar after verifying the correct age.

Feb 23, 2014: It was on the intervening night of 23/24 February 1991 at Kunan-Poshpora  village in  Kupwara, when Indian army’s 4-Rajput Rifles and 68-Moutain Brigade gang raped dozens of women of Kunan Poshpora and the men from the area were subject to mass torture and this process was still not stoped in Jammu and Kashmir.

Srinagar, Thursday, 18 Jul 2013: Indian paramilitary forces have killed at least eight civilians and injured 42 others when Border Security Force (BSF) troopers fired at protesters in  Ramban district this morning.
