Srinagar, Mar 9: Indian police arrested hundreds of youth including Hurriyet leaders and activists and women in Kashmir. One Kashmiri Hurriyet activist Fahmeeda Sofi was arrested when she was attending DeM chairperson Aasiya Andrabi who was recently operated at Soura hospital in Srinagar.A police party from Soura police station and Rambagh police station raided the hospital and arrested Fahmeeda.
Srinagar, Jan 30, 2013: An Indian army officer Naib Subedar (JCO) of Army's Territorial Battalion 163 TA Bn, kidnapped a minor girl student on Jan 27 from Dahargulun in Pattan and raped her in a hotel in Mendhar in Rajouri.

Srinagar, October 31, 2012: At least 20 civilians were ruthlessly thrashed and critically injured by a group of Indian troops in Baramulla district, prompting police to file an FIR against the erring army personnel. The Indian army on Wednesday beating civilians after disembarking them from vehicles. Police sources said that the FIR was lodged after nearly two-dozen people approached the Police Station Baramulla and said that Indian army men beat them near the office of Public Health Engineering (PHE) without any provocation.

Srinagar, February 10, 2012: Indian troops of 32 Rashtriya Rifles killed a 20 year old Ashiq Hussain Rather son of Muhammad Akbar of Laisar village near Watargam of Rafiaabad in Baramulla district when he and his sister came out of their house to go to washroom at 8.30 pm. Ashiq died on spot. The inmates of the house raised hue and cry and villagers came out to protest against the killing. The FIR6/2012 IRPF-302 was registered in Dangiwacha police station.
Srinagar, Jan 2, 2012: A 12th class student was killed and two other civilians were injured when Indian Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel deployed near Hydroelectric Power Corporation projects in Kashmir opened fire on people protesting against power shortage in Boniyar area of Baramulla district.
Srinagar, December 05, 2011: Hundreds of people in Handwara protested against the Indian troops for beating the civilians at Satkozi village. The residents of Handwara said that the troops entered the houses and started beating the inmates indiscriminately without any reason.
They demanded revocation of the draconian law, Armed Forces Special Powers Act and other such laws granting immunity to troops.
