NEW DLEHI ,September 8 : The police have arrested two Hindutva persons accused of unprovoked attack on two Muslim men in Indian state Utter Pardash., The duo not only assaulted the unassuming victims but also abused them with religious slurs like “Pakistani” and “Mulle” while forcing them to chant ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’.

 KANYAKUMARI, Sept 8 : Ahead of the launch of the party’s 3,570-km ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ from Kanyakumari to Kashmir, the Indian state Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has attacked the ruling Hindutva party BJP, said that the hate has spread in the country in the name of caste and religion and it can lead to a civil war if not checked. 

New Delhi, September 7 : The Health of  a Campus Front of India student leader, Atikur Rahman, a  who was detained in October 2020 with Kerala journalist Siddiqui Kappan and prosecuted under the black law, Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, has deteriorated, after which he was admitted to a nearby Lucknow hospital. The victim’s lawyer, Saifan Shaikh, after diagnosis cardiac specialists at the Indian state UPs Lucknow hospital have said that he is suffering from some neurological disorder.

 Srinagar, September 03: A detainee  was found hanging, today, inside a police lock-up in Rajouri district of Jammu region in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.  

 New Jersey (US) September 3, 2022: The Indian American Muslim Council (IAMC), a US-based advocacy group dedicated to human rights, social justice, and pluralism, has welcomed the joint statement from US Senators Bob Menendez and Cory Booker from New Jersey that has unequivocally condemned a hate parade held by Hindutva supremacists on August 14, 2022, in the state.

 Bengaluru, September 3, 2022: A Hindutva BJP MLA Aravind Limbavali was caught on camera shouting at a woman and getting her detained by the police for asking him questions on allegations of land encroachment against her. The incident happened in Indian southern city Bengaluru when the MLA was on rounds to monitor waterlogging issues.

Pithoragarh,September 3, 2022: A Dalit political activist was beaten to death, allegedly by his in-law in Indian state Uttarakhand for marrying an upper-caste girl. The couple had previously written to the administration, requesting security.  

Srinagar, September 02, 2022 :Amnesty International, has said that Narendra Modi-led Indian government intensified the repression of human rights in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir during the last three years since it revoked the special status of the territory on August 05, 2019. The Amnesty International in a report released, today, said that journalists, lawyers and human rights defenders in IIOJK were facing increasingly harsh and repressive measures by the Indian government. It said that at least 27 journalists had been arrested since August 5, 2019, with several of them, including Fahad Shah, Aasif Sultan and Sajad Gul were rearrested after court ordered their release and booked under draconian law, Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act. Aakar Patel, chair of the board of Amnesty International India, in a statement said for three years now, civil society and media in Jammu and Kashmir have been subjected to a vicious crackdown by the Indian government, which is determined to stifle dissent using draconian laws, policies and unlawful practices in their arsenal. The Amnesty International called upon the Indian government to immediately release all those arbitrarily detained. It also urged the international community to hold the Indian government accountable for its grave human rights violations in IIOJK.  

 By Raies Mir:The top APHC leader and the icon of Kashmir freedom movement, Syed Ali Gilani, embraced martyrdom while in detention at his residence in Srinagar on 01 September 2021 at the age of 92. He was symbol of valor, courage and resistance against oppression and subjugation throughout his life.  Syed Ali Gilani, who had already been suffering from multiple ailments, remained under house arrest from 2010 till his death. This prolonged house detention took heavy toll on his health.  Syed Ali Gilani was born in Zurmunz in Bandipore on 29 September 1929. He was educated at Sopore, and finished his studies at the Oriental College, Lahore (Pakistan). He remained associated with Jamaat-e-Islami Jammu and Kashmir for most part of his life but later founded his own party, Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir. He led the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) until late June 2020 quitting the pro-freedom amalgam due to his worsening health condition. He was elected to the Kashmir Legislative Assembly in 1972, 1977 and 1987.
