November 2, 2022By Muslim Mirror:On Wednesday, a number of journalist bodies voiced their concerns regarding the Delhi Police’s excessive and unreasonable searches and seizures at The Wire’s office and the homes of four of its editors.
New York, November 02 : The New York-based media watchdog, Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) has urged the Indian authorities to stop harassing employees of the Indian news website, The Wire, and let them work freely. The CPJ in a statement posted on its website said, on Monday, officials with the Delhi police crime branch searched the New Delhi office of The Wire and the residences of editors Siddharth Vardarajan, M.K. Venu, Siddharth Bhatia, and Jahanavi Sen, and seized their electronic devices, according to various news reports and Vardarajan, who spoke to CPJ over phone.

Srinagar, October 20 : Indian forces martyred one youth in custody in Shopian district inIndian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The youth Imran Bashir was arrested by the troops during a cordon and search operation on Tuesday after a grenade blast in which two Indian laborers were killed in Hermain area of the district. The troops then took him to Nowgam area of the district and killed him in a fake encounter.. The killing of the youth is a glaring example of how Indian Army and paramilitary personnel are brutally crushing the Kashmiris’ ongoing freedom struggle.

Guwahati, October 20 : A Muslim died in an Indian police lockup in Assam’s Bongaigaon district. The victim, identified as Abdul Jabbar, was arrested by police in a cattle theft case, and put up at Jogighopa police station. It is reported that the victim was terrorized and tortured in the Jogighopa police station where he was spotted in a semi-conscious state.
SRINAGAR, Oct 18: Two non-Kashmiri labourers were killed in a grenade blast in Shopian district, today, in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The two Indian labourers who were injured in a grenade blast during search operation in Harmen area of the district succumbed to their injuries in a local hospital.Indian troops during cordon and search operation also arrested a youth in the same area of Shopian.
