Muslims vulnerable to communal violence and discrimination in India, hr violation in IIOJK: US human rights report

 Washington, April 13 : The US Department of State in its report has painted a grim picture of human rights of Muslims in India and in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The State Department in the chapter on India in the “2021 Country Reports on Human Rights Practices” released on Tuesday noted that Muslims in India are vulnerable to communal violence and discrimination.

Vehicles torched amid curfew in Madhya Prades town

 Khargone, April 13 : Even as curfew continues in Indian state Madhya Pradesh, Hindutva torched four vehicles and a garage in Khargone city. While the curfew is in force in Khargone since Sunday evening, some anti-social elements set ablaze three buses, a car and a garage in the city’s Mechanic Nagar area on Monday night, Additional Superintendent of Police Neeraj Chourasia said.

Hindutva goons brutally killed one , thrash 5 in Delhi

New Delhi, April 13: A Hindutva  group of men brutally killed and thrashed several  persons l for allegedly slaughtering cows in Indian capital New Delhi. The deceased, identified as Raja Ram (40), was the caretaker of a farmhouse where he was allegedly involved in cow slaughtering.According to a senior officer of the Delhi Police, the incident took place on the intervening night of April 10-11 at a farmhouse in the Dwarka area of Delhi. 

BJP govt moving to ensure exit of Muslim traders from temples in Karnataka

 Bengaluru ,April 13:  The ruling BJP government is all set to clear temple premises  and near by areas in Karnataka of Muslim vendors.The BJP government has declared on the floor of the House that there is no provision for non-Hindus to carry out their business on temple premises and religious fairs.The BJP government is following ban calls on Muslim traders by Hindutva groups in the state. 

Sharjeel imam denied bail in black law UAPA riots case

NEW DELHI ,April 12: The  Delhi court  has denied bail to JNU student activist Sharjeel Imam in a black law UAPA, case related to the February 2020 north-east Delhi riots, in which several other students and activists are charged on fake cases. The order was passed by Additional Sessions Judge Amitabh Rawat, days after bail was denied to activists like Shifa-ur-Rehman, Meeran Haider and Umar Khalid in the same fake case.

Hindutva Saffron flag planted on Bihar Mosque in India

 Patna , 12th April : The Hindutva goons  planted a Hindutva saffron flag on top of a Mosque and its gate in Indian state Bihar. A video of the incident is in wide circulation, showing Hindutva men thumping the air in jubilation and cheering the man atop the wall of a mosque and  also planted a saffron flag on top of its gate in Bihar’s Muzaffarpur on the occasion of Ram Navami.

US Monitoring Rise In Human Rights Abuses In India: Antony Blinken

 Washington April 12: US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has said that the United States was monitoring  a rise in human rights abuses in India by some officials, in a rare direct rebuke by Washington of New Delhi.  "We regularly engage with our Indian partners on these shared values (of human rights) and to that end, we are monitoring some recent concerning developments in India including a rise in human rights abuses by some government, police and prison officials," Mr Blinken said in a joint press briefing with US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin,  Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar and  Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh.

Call for US Panel on Religious Freedom to Withstand Hindutva Pressure

 WASHINGTON, DC ,April 12 :   Hundreds of US-based civil rights, faith groups and individuals from across the country have condemned the pressure being placed on a prominent federal commission to dilute its reporting on religious persecution of minorities in India. 

Authorities placed Mehbooba under house ahead of her Shopian visit

 Srinagar, April 12 : The BJP regime has put PDP President  and People's Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD leader, Mehbooba Mufti  under house arrest at her residence in Srinagar, in  Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Mehbooba Mufti was placed under house arrest right before she could visit the  family of Kashmiri Pandit at Harmain Shopian who was recently attacked by unknown gunmen.
