Srinagar, Jan 22, 2021: About 21 prisoners from Jammu and Kashmir, presently facing illegal detentions in various jails of Indain state Uttar Pradesh, have been shifted to the high-security Agra jail. This is being done on the orders of the Indian Home Ministry (MHA). The prisoners being shifted now are believed to be most of them associated with senior veteran Hurriyat leader, Syed Ali Geelani. These inmates were booked under draconian law Public Safety Act (PSA) and were arrested in August 2019.
Jammu, Jan 22 , 2021: Unknown persons on Friday hurled a grenade at an Indian police party in Dadpeth on Chaatroo highway in Kishtwar in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Official sources told GNS that there was no loss of life or injury reported in the incident even as the entire area has been cordoned off by Indian troops to nab the attackers. It is after a very long time that any such incident has been reported in the district.
Srinagar, Jan 22 , 2021: Trade Alliance (KTA) has demanded immediate restoration of 4G internet services in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. KTA President Ajaz Shahdhar in a statement in Srinagr said that “We want the government to restore 4G in Jammu & Kashmir, that will help in Trade, Education and Media Activities".He said the reach of wire-based internet services is limited in Kashmir valley and not every student has access to it. "It becomes impossible to students to attend a online lectures on 2G mobile speed", he said.
Srinagar, Jan 22 : The Indian Megha Engineering and Infrastructure Ltd which is responsible for the construction of 14.5 kilometer Zojila Tuneel has chopped off 338 green trees without seeking permission from the Forest Department in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The felling trees are lying along the roadside while Forest Department official have submitted a report to Divisional Forest Officer Ganderbal seeking action against the Agency under law. “There is road passing through the forest area of Nilgrath. We had marked some 300 trees that were supposed to be cut by the forest department. Ironically, without seeking our permission, Megha Engineering and Infrastructure Limited has cut down 338 trees,” Forest Officer Sonmarg Abdul Gani told media men.
