IJU among others condemn takeover of KPC, Reverse shutting down KPC: CPJ

Srinagar,January 18, 2022: The Indian Journalists Union (IJU), Kolkata Press Club, Shopian Working Journalists Association and CPI (M) condemned the illegal takeover and demanded KPC should be allowed to function democratically. In a statement, the IJU condemned the authoritie’s move for putting in abeyance the Kashmir Press Club’s registration and the ‘forcible takeover’ of the Club by a group of journalists, aided by the IIOJK regime and the police.

KU defers all scheduled examinations until further notice

50 politicians, peace activists, former officials urge nuclear neighbours to Resolve Issues throgh dialogue

New Delhi,January 17  : At least 50 politicians, former officials, and peace activists have urged India and Pakistan to attend to their differences and work for durable peace in the region. Even as there looks no immediate headway towards deescalating tensions between South Asian nuclear neighbours, Indian peace activist Om Prakash Shah who released compilations of 50 articles in the form of a book titled In Pursuit of Peace: Improving Indo-Pak Relations, in New Delhi on Saturday, requesting both countries to at least start talks to find solutions to their political issues.

Human Rights Watch World Report 2021

 New  York, Jan 13, 2022: The world watchdog Human Rights Watch in its Annual Report 2021 has shed light on India’s poor human rights record in the occupied territory of Jammu and Kashmir. The report described events of the year 2021 and made a particular mention of an 18-month internet shutdown, unceremonial and forced burial of the veteran APHC leader, Syed Ali Gilani, custodial death of THK chairman, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, harassment of Kashmiri journalists by the Indian authorities as few out of many India’s terrorist acts in the IIOJK territory. The watchdog HRW in its annual report said that in  February 2021, the Indian government finally lifted an 18-month internet shutdown in Kashmir imposed in August 2019 when it revoked the state’s constitutional autonomy and split it into two federally governed territories.

Deaf, Mute Minor Girl Gangraped in Rajasthan, India

JAIPUR, Rajistan-India  January 13 , 2022: A minor deaf and mute girl was gangraped in india state Rajasthan.The young deaf and mute girl was gandraped  and thrown on road near culvert in a profusely bleeding condition at Alwar area of the state.The unidentified accused,however, managed to flee from the scene to avoid arrest.  The condition of the girl was reported critical in the absolutely harrowing incident.

Indian army vehicle hit a bus injured 7 people in Poonch

Jammu, January 12: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Indian army vehicle hit a passenger bus and injured seven persons including an aged woman in Poonch district. 
The Indian army vehicle deliberately hit a passenger vehicle and injured seven passengers including Aijaz Ahmad (14), Bashir Ahmad (70) and Begum Jan (65)  at Tota Gali in Poonch district.
