Ostracised in death: No one at Odisha man's funeral over autopsy by 'low caste' doctor

Bhubaneswar, September 25, 2022 India :The body of a man had to be carried on a bike for cremation after his relatives refused to attend the funeral, fearing being ostracised since an autopsy was performed by a doctor from a lower caste. The incident was reported from  Indian state Odisha’s Bargarh district.The husband of the village Sarpanch took the man's body for cremation. 

'Even boys not safe in Delhi': 12-year-old raped by 4, thrashed and left for dead

 New Delhi, September 25, 2022: A 12-year-old boy was allegedly raped by four people in Indian captial city New Delhi. The minor boy was also reportedly beaten with sticks and left for dead. 
Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) chief Swati Maliwal tweeted about the incident and said, “In Delhi, not even boys are safe.”

Muslim organisations denounce widespread crackdown on Popular Front, arrest of its leaders by Indian agency ED, NIA

New Delhi, September 23:Several Muslim organisations have denounced the widespread searches conducted by the Indian agency National Investigation Agency (NIA) and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) at the offices and homes of PFI state and district level leaders in 11 states in India.  The  Indian  agencies have detained over 100 of the PFI’s top officials as part of a widespread crackdown, including its top leader OMA Salam.

The news is that five Muslims had a spontaneous meeting with the head of the Rashtriya Swayam Sangh (RSS) in August at the organization’s headquarters in Delhi. Among the Muslims were the Former Vice Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University, Lieutenant General (Retd.) Zameer Uddin Shah, former Chief Election Commissioner SY Quraishi, former Lieutenant Governor of Delhi Najeeb Jung, Rashtriya Lok Dal leader Shahid Siddiqui, and businessman Saeed Shervani. Two of them have already given selective information about the discussion contents.

Widespread protests, incidents in Kerala during bandh call in Indian state Kerala

 Thiruvananthapuram, September 23: Kerala on Friday witnessed widespread  protests againt the arrest of over 100 Muslim leaders by Indian agencies in Keral state in India. The hartal call was given  by prominent Muslim party  Popular Front of India (PFI). The PFI called the hartal to protest against the raids in their  offices and residences of its leaders and their subsequent arrests on Thursday by the Indian dreaded National Investigation Agency (NIA) and other agencies for the flase cases. 

Indian troops arrest two youth in Sopore

Srinagar, Sept 23: Indian Army’s 22 Rashtriya Rifles, 179 battalion Central Reserve Police Force and Marcos personnel during  cordon and search operation arrested Imtiyaz Ahmad Ganai and Waseem Ahmad Lone in Botingoo  Sopore area of Baramulla district in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Traffic to remain suspended on Srinagar-Jammu highway for 5 days from 3 am to 7 am till Sept 27

 Srinagar, September 23: The authorities  claimed that to carry out urgent repair works on the Mehar-Cafeteria Morh, Ramban stretch of the Srinagar-Jammu  Highway, vehicular traffic would remain suspended for 4 hours from 3 am to 7 am from September 23 to September 27 in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

 Srinagar, Sep 22: Indian troops during cordon and search operation arrested two youth in Sopore town in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.The youth were arrested by Indian troops during cordon and search operation in Bontingo area of the town.
