Sandeep Pandey, others detained before march for Bilkis Bano in Gujarat

Gandhinagar (Gujarat, India), September 27 : Ramon Magsaysay award recipient, Sandeep Pandey and others who were scheduled to participate in the foot march, titled ‘Apologising to Bilkis Bano’ have been detained by Gujarat Police. The march was planned to be taken out from Bano’s native village Randhikpur in neighbouring Dahod district under the banner of ‘Hindu-Muslim Ekta Samiti’. The march was to conclude in Ahmedabad on October 4.

Dalit boy dies after beating by upper caste teacher in UP, India

Lucknow, September 27: A class 10 Dalit student from Adarsh Inte rcollege in Indian state Uttar Pradesh’s Auraiya was beaten to death by upper-caste Hindu teacher Ashwini Singh in the ongoing violence against minorities in India. A  FIR lodged against Singh at Acchalda police station and the accused is absconding. The boy was under medical observation but could not be saved.  

Indian troops martyr one youth, injured two civilians in Kulgam operation

 Srinagar, September 26 : Indian troops  during cordon and search operation martyred one youth in Kulgam district in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.The youth was martyred by Indian Army and Central Reserve Police Force personnel  during a cordon and search operation in Batpora area of the district.

Ostracised in death: No one at Odisha man's funeral over autopsy by 'low caste' doctor

Bhubaneswar, September 25, 2022 India :The body of a man had to be carried on a bike for cremation after his relatives refused to attend the funeral, fearing being ostracised since an autopsy was performed by a doctor from a lower caste. The incident was reported from  Indian state Odisha’s Bargarh district.The husband of the village Sarpanch took the man's body for cremation. 

'Even boys not safe in Delhi': 12-year-old raped by 4, thrashed and left for dead

 New Delhi, September 25, 2022: A 12-year-old boy was allegedly raped by four people in Indian captial city New Delhi. The minor boy was also reportedly beaten with sticks and left for dead. 
Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) chief Swati Maliwal tweeted about the incident and said, “In Delhi, not even boys are safe.”
