Survey report of unmarked graves in Srinagarm Budgam;‘voice of victims’

Srinagar, Jan 2013: ‘Unmarked graves’ in Kashmir has now became a term and this term no more jolts the valley people as every day people came to know through newspapers about these unmarked graves in which number of innocent Kashmiris have been buried after being brutally killed and very unfortunate aspect of this shocking story is that still no one knows who has killed these people buried in unmarked graves. However these people include also those who were killed by Indian Army, Task Force and other security agencies but still questions remains, who were killed and who killed them?
One thing remains clear that killed people were human beings, buried under unmarked grave was brother of a sister, who still waits and enquires about him, was husband of anyone who still says her children that one day their father will return and fulfil their demands, what they are right now demanding! And yes was loyal child of one mother who still has kept her heart as no mother is this world can do as Kashmiri mother has done and proved.

As a result of old age Kashmir conflict, Jammu and Kashmir from last decades have seen very uneven situation, a situation of brutality, bloodshed, innocent killings and other human rights violations. They way that were adopted by Indian Army and other security agencies in this peaceful land were inhuman that international human rights organizations have endorsed. Kashmir is filled with the Stories and facts of brutalities and every angle, every single house hold have its own story. A fact army were arresting people in front of local population, torturchring them in inside intragration centres inorder to gain information about the militants and very often in these centres they have crossed the limits and these kind of worst rights violations gone unreported as the nearby police stations have never lodged any complaint against the Indian army and other agencies. In Kashmir, you can find hundreds and thousands of families affected by the brutality of Indian armed forces, which now has no to one light candles in their homes.Forced disappearances by the Indian armed forces have raised number of problems in the society like number of orphans, physiological patients have increased, women folk whose husbands are missing (Half Widows) and the parents of forced disappeared persons have to face a number of problems in this society, they aren’t saying but their silent eyes are telling every sad story and problems faced by them. These facts have now given a birth to a serious one that is locals believe that the forced disappeared people have been killed by the Indian armed forces and locals remind nights and bright sunny days during which armed forces were giving them bodies of people for burial and locals were told by the security agencies that they have killed these people during gunfights. So Now Parents of forced disappeared kashmiris are now continuously demanding DNA tests for those who are buried in those unmarked graves as they can answer themselves rightly and could get rid from the dilemma that they are facing and that has affected them so badly that they are not in position to stand up in the society. Demanding DNA test can genuinely help the affected people in restoring their physiological and sociological aspects of life as they faceing and feeling themselves from disconnected from the society. A mother could after days satisfy her that her son his sleeping in the heavens that Allah has made for him, so similarly a sister, a wife, a brother and a father can.
Voice of Victims is a non-political organization and has no political agenda but the organization is a human rights group that could not remain silent after seeing the greave rights violations by the armed forces in Kashmir. Keeping in mind the situation, organization has started its mission from Tehsil Chadoora of Budgam and civil lines of sgr. district, were number of unmarked graves have been identified recently, to help the affected people especially our sisters and mothers. If it is hard and difficult to tell who is inside these unmarked greaves but one thing is certain that they were not air dropped any other kind of human beings. We will continue our investigations and appeal all those people whose near and dear ones are missing to cooperate with us. We believe that forced disappeared persons have been killed by the Indian armed forces and we demand international organizations to pressurize Indian for immediate DNA tests of those who are buried in those unmarked greave.:-
