Srinagar, April 7: Indian troops shot at and injured several worshipers (Nimazis) in a Mosque in Kupwara district, in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Locals said that Indian army forcibly entered into a masjid and capture pictures of the people inside mosque who were praying in the mosque in Handwara area of the district. Indian army opened fire on Nimazis when the locals desist such violent and inhuman act of Indian army.
“We have received two youth in their twenties with firearm injuries. They are being treated at Sub-district hospital Handwara and their condition is stable,” the Medical Superintendent of Handwara hospital said.
Dr. Nisar Ahmed Wani identified the two as Mujeeeb u Rehman, a resident of Handwara aged 22, and Abdul Ahad Mir, a resident of Rajwar, aged 24. He said both of them have received injuries in their left thigh.
Locals from Handwara speaking to media said that during Zuhr Prayers some Indian Government force personnel appeared in the Masjid premises clicking photographs, to which the locals objected.
“The initial argument led to a heated exchange of words and during this verbal brawl, suddenly the forces opened fire on the people, resulting in two injuries,” they said.
On the other hand, a policeman injured in road accident succumbed to his injuries at a hospital in Srinagar. The policeman Shabir Ahmad Bhat was fatally injured after a truck collided with his motorcycle at Nussu Badragund Qazigund on Jammu—Srinagar highway on April 3,.He was since hospitalised at Soura hospital in Srinagar, however he uccumbed to his injuries, a police official said adding that he was an SPO rank cop in Jammu and Kashmir police and was posted in Kulgam district.
Indian troops launched cordon and search operation in Shopian district, today. The Indian troops and paramilitary forces launched massive cordon and search operation in Haripora area of the district.The forces also fired several bullets in the area which added fear and atrocities in the area. The operation was going-on when reports last came in.
