Posters with Ashraf Sehria’ pictures call for strike in Kashmir on Thursday

 Srinagar, May 4:  The posters have  appeared, paying tributes to the martyred senior APHC leader, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai on his 1st martyrdom anniversary and other martyrs in Srinagar and several other parts of the valley in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. 
Senior APHC leader and Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir Chairman, Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai died in Indian police custody in Jammu on 5 May 2021.
The martyred leader was booked under draconian Public Safety Act, on July 12, 2020 and shifted to Udhampur Jail in Jammu. His condition deteriorated in jail and was not given timely access to doctor and he died in a Hospital in Jammu.
The posters, displayed by different Hurriyet parties gave strike call  tommorow on 5 May (Thursday)to express solidarity with the martyrs’ families.
The posters read that the unresolved Kashmir dispute was the biggest hurdle in peace and political stability in the region so the United Nations must take solid steps for peaceful settlement of the lingering Kashmir dispute. The posters urged people to unite for resolution of Kashmir dispute.
Meanwhile, the APHC leadership also strongly condemned the continued illegal detention of two sons of martyred senior APHC leader and Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir Chairman, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai.
 The martyred leader Sehrai’s two sons namely, Mujahid Ashraf Sehrai and Rashid Ashraf Sehrai, were arrested by police from Bulbulbagh in Srinagar on May 15, 2021 Saturday evening. 
 Political experts and analysts termed the  continued arrest of Mujahid Ashraf Sehrai and Rashid Ashraf Sehrai, and other relatives as political victimization for their unwavering support to the freedom movement. 
The experts and analysts said that Modi regime has turned so callous that the arrests are meant to victimize and punish the family for espousing the freedom cause. 
It further said that Ashraf Sehrai was the only bread earner for his entire family, adding that Hindutva regime of India wanted Kashmiris to be silenced but it would fail again.
