Police constable dies in CBI police custody in Kathua,Unidentified Body Recovered In Bandipora

Srinagar, /Jammu, March 19, 2023: A policeman died  in police CBI custody in Kathua district of the Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Head Constable Mushtaq Ahmad, a resident of Billawar, was caught red-handed while  is claimed allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 3,000 from a complainant at the women police station in Kathua, where he was posted, the officials said.
They said the policeman was being questioned  and interrogated in a separate room inside the police station by the CBI sleuths when he complained of uneasiness and was rushed to Government Medical College (GMC) hospital for treatment.However, he died at the hospital, the officials said, adding the cause of the death was not known immediately.
Station House Officer of the police station, Kiran Devi, confirmed the death of the policeman.
“The policeman died shortly after we shifted him to the hospital. A detailed report will be shared later,” she told PTI.
An unidentified body was recovered in Bandipora district in  Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. 
The body was recovered from  Nallah in Inderkoot area of  the district on Sunday .
The official said the identification of the body is being ascertained, while investigation has been taken up.
On the other hand, another labourer  of Indian state Bihar, who was injured in a road accident in Awantipora area of Pulwama district on Saturday, has succumbed to his injuries, taking the death toll to 5.
Meanwhile, an alert has been sounded in Ramgarh  area of Samba district after a leopard crossed over to the occupied Kashmir near LOC border area on Sunday.
