Srinagar, December 14, 2020: Police authorities arrested a senior Hurriyet leader,Mushtaq Ul Islam in Srinagar, today. The authorities raided the house of Mushtaqul Islam in Batamaloo in Srinagar city and lodged him in Kothibagh police Srinagar in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Unknown gunmen shot at and killed a personal security guard Constable Manzoor Ahmad of a PDP leader in Natipora area of Srinagar district.An Indian soldier died due to cardiac arrest during a cordon and search operation in South Kashmir’s Shopian district, last night. Officials said that a soldier of 162 Territorial Army suffered massive cardiac arrest during the CASO in Chitragam area of Zanipora. He was immediately rushed to an Indian Army hospital in Srinagar where doctors declared him brought dead.

A Power Development Department lineman was electrocuted to death after receiving an electric shock while repairing a faulty line in Machil sector of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Saturday. An official said that the lineman died of electric shock on duty in Naad area of Machil. “The deceased, identified as Muhammad Rafiq Wani, son of Muhammad Sabir of Naad, Machil was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital but doctors declared him dead on arrival,” the official said
the Indian police will soon get 100 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs)/drones to keep a watch on the activities of people in Jammu and Kashmir. Indian Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has approved a fresh budget for the police in IIOJK to procure 100 UAVs/drones, which will be the biggest procurement by the force so far.
While the police had already procured some UAVs and drones out of its own budget in the past few years, the fresh consignment of around 100 UAVs will be added in the months ahead, media reports quoted official sources as having said. As per the police specifications, these UAVs will be of category 3, which is considered the latest and equipped with all sorts of technology.
December 11 :A missing Kashmiri youth Muhammad Asif Dar, a resident of Shopian area of IIOJK, had gone missing in Gowhati city of Assam was found dead in India’s Assam state.
The brother of the deceased, talking to media men said, they have taken the possession of the body at Srinagar airport. When asked the cause of death, he said, he doesn’t know anything how his brother died.
A top police official from Gowhati told media that he was not aware about the death of the Kashmiri youth in the city. A police official from Shopian was quoted by the media as having said that they were collecting the information from the family and ascertaining the facts.
Indian police during cordon and search operations and house raids arrested three persons including advocate, Gowhar Ahmed Wani in Shopian, Tral and Budgam areas.
Reportedly, Gowhar Ahmed Wani has been booked under black law Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).
Meanwhile, unknown persons lobbed a grenade at an Indian paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) camp in Noorbagh area of Srinagar early Friday morning. An official was quoted by the media as having said that the grenade was lobbed on the G/61 battalion of CRPF, but it missed the target and exploded on the road. He said the area has been cordoned off to nab the attackers.
In Jammu, the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Association (JKPA) led by its Chairman, Aquib Wani held a demonstration at Rajouri against the longest internet blockade in the territory.
Aquib Wani speaking on the occasion termed the denial of internet services as example of collective punishment being given to Kashmiri population. He said that it was a conspiracy of the Indian government to keep Kashmiris backward of which students and businessmen were the worse victims. He further said, "Jammu and Kashmir is world's largest militarized zone where Indian government is giving security threat as an excuse to suspend internet which is a joke." Asad Malik, Nayeem Khan, Aftab Mehmood and others also spoke on the occasion.
December 10: Indian police officer beat up three journalists in Islamabad district, today.
The police officer beat up the journalists, Fayaz Ahmed, Mudasir Qadri and Juanid Ahmed, while they were performing their professional duties in Srigufwara area of the district during the 5th phase of District Development Council (DDC) elections in the area.Fayaz Ahmed talking to media men said that he along with other journalists was beaten up and all the equipments were seized by the troops.We are under detention while Junaid is admitted in a hospital in Srigufwara, he added.
