Over hundred including Hurriyet leaders arrested Kashmir valley

Srinagar, December 22, 2020 : The Indian forces authorities arrested hundreds of Hurriyet leaders, human rights activist and youth during massive house raids in  Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The authorities during massive house raids arrested APHC leader, Ghulam Ahmad Gulzar, Maulvi Bashir Ahmad, Abdul Rasheed Lone, JKLF leader Muhammad Yasin Bhat, human rights activist Muhammad Ahsan Untoo, Jamaat-e-Islami Farooq Ahmad Khakhi and several others in Srinagar and other areas.


PDP president Mehbooba Mufti said that the detention of her party leaders as “out and out Gunda Raj” and accused the BJP of planning to manipulate the results. Officials said the authorities took 20 leaders, including Sartaj Madni, Mansoor Hussain and Naeem Akhtar of the PDP, into custody during the day. Similar action is being taken against politicians in other districts of Kashmir valley as well, the officials said.
Some leaders that included Sartaj Madni, Naeem Akhtar, Mansoor  Peerzada and Bashir Ahmad have been taken into custody , police sources said.

Meanwhile, in India, three local media journalists  were attacked when they went to cover a clash between ruling BJP and opposition CPI-M at Khayerpur in Agartala, area.
The scribes, identified as Prangopal Acharya of Syandan Patrika, Pintu Pal of Rising Tripura TV channel and Biswajit Debnath of  Mrinalini ENN TV channel were attacked in front of the police , an eyewitness said. "About 4-5 persons were wounded and the three scribes were attacked, Police is investigating the case, an Indian police officer said.
