Occupied Kashmir court quashes black law PSA against journalist Fahad Shah

 Srinagar, April 13 : The Kashmiri journalist Fahad Shah’s  black law, Public Safety Act has been quashed by High Court of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir

Fahad Shah  is currently lodged at Kot Balwal jail inammu, where he has been lodged since June 2022, a prison nearly 300 kilometers away from his residence in Srinagar city.
Several organizations including the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) had called upon the Indian Government to release the incarcerated journalist, however, despite a year having passed since his arrest the journalist continues to remain under detention.
Advocate Umari Ronga, the Counsel for Fahad Shah told news agency that Fahad’s black law Public Safety Act petition reserved for the judgment since February has been pronounced. “Details have not emerged yet, at some appropriate time notice shall be given to the parties and whole judgment will be delivered,” he said.
The Court of Justice Waseem Nagral has pronounced the order.
