May 26, 2019: Indian Central Reserve Police Force personnel assaulted and thrashed a journalist near Islamia College in Hawal area of Srinagar city,.
Speaking to media men Adil Hussain, a journalist working with Kashmir Thunder said that the CRPF personnel rounded him near the Islamia College near Hawal and thrashed without any provocation on Sunday morning.
“I even displayed my press identity card to the CRPF personnel, but they abused me and started beating me,” Adil said, adding that he tried to make them understand that he was working with media, but they continued abusing and thrashing me. In the past too, journalists have been thrashed while performing their professional duties.
