Srinagar, ,May 07, 2022 : An Indian Army soldier committed suicide by by shooting himself in Jammu city in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The Indian soldier, who was on sentry duty committed suicide by shooting him self in the head with his service rifle at Jourian camp on the outskirts of city The body was shifted to Government Medical College (GMC) hospital by a police party for post-mortem. The motive behind his taking the extreme step was not known immediately.
On the other hand, a policeman, who was shot at by unknown gunmen at Ali Jan road in Srinagar, succumbed to his injuries at Institute of Medical Sciences, Soura.
Meanwhile, a police man was injured after his rifle went off accidentally near Tehsil office Khag in Budgam district.
Meanwhile, the Jammu and Kashmir State Investigation Agency (SIA) on Saturday carried out searches at 19 premises across Kashmir valley.
