Indian police used brute force, fired pellets , shells on protesters in Srinagar

Srinagar, May 12 :  Several people including a woman were injured after Indian police fired pellets and teargass shells on protesters in Srinagar city. It is reported that an one eye of a youth was critically injured by pellets and may lost his one eye sight. The mother and son duo were injured after the Indian police fired pellets and tear smoke shells inside a residential house in Shamswari Khankah-e-Mo’alla area of the city.

The Indian police used brute force and fired pellets and shells when people took to the streets  during lockdown against the cordon and search operation, continued harassment and horror of Indian police and paramilitary forces created in the area, the locals told media men.
The protesters raised anti- India and anti-police slogans. Locals said that two persons in the area were severely injured after police party resorted to shelling inside a residential house where a mother and her son got injured.
