Indian police head constable shoots himself dead in new Delhi

 New Delhi, April 8:An Indian police Head Constable committed suicide by shooting himself  in the Indian capital New Delhi on SaturdayThe Delhi Police Head Constable shot himself dead with his service rifle inside a PCR van in the capital city's Civil Lines area.The deceased was identified as Imran Mohammed.

"A PCR call was received at the Civil Lines police station that the in-charge of a PCR van Imran Mohammed has shot himself with his official weapon. He was immediately taken to the Bara Hindu Rao hospital where he was declared as brought dead on arrival," said the official.
The police are trying to ascertain the reason behind the victim's drastic step.
Meanwhile, a 44-year-old Dalit woman was raped and attacked  by miscreants with chemical, set afire in Indian state Rajasthan
The woman in her complaint stated that 30-year-old Shakoor Khan raped her and set her on fire in the Pachpadra police station area of Rajasthan's Barmer, police said.
The 44-year-old woman also suffered around 50 per cent burn injuries due to a highly inflammatory chemical that was thrown at her.The woman was initially admitted to Nahata hospital in Balotra for treatment but was later referred to Jodhpur as her condition worsened.
According to police, the woman in her complaint stated that 30-year-old Shakoor Khan trespassed her house and raped her.
After the incident, when the accused felt that the woman would reveal his identity, the accused threw thinner on the woman, set her afire and fled the spot.
Meanwhile, the relatives of the woman have alleged that the police hesitated to register the case initially. This led to a demonstration by members of the Dalit community outside the police station.
