Srinagar, February 28, 2022: Indian police arrested a youth in south Kashmir Islamabad district in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The youth identified as Shahid Thoker son of Mohammad Iqbal Thoker resident of Nossipora Keegam Shopian was arrested during a surprise naka checking by police in Islamabad district.
On the other hand, an Indian Border Security Force (BSF) Head Constable died under mysterious circumstances in his battalion in Indreshwar Nagar of Gadigarh, police sources said. The deceased was identified as Darshan Singh, son of late Bishan Singh of Arya Nagar Gurdaspur Punjab India. He was in 98 Battalion BSF deployed at Indreshwar Nagar of Gadigarh in District Jammu.
After completing medical and legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to BSF authorities.
Meanwhile, a 47-year-old man from Damhal Hanjipora belt of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district was found hanging in a rented accommodation at Amnoo Kulgam on Sunday afternoon, officials said.
An official said that the man identified as Mushtaq Ahmad Dar (47) son of Sona-Ullah Dar, a resident of D K Marg Kulgam was found hanging in rented accommodation in Amnoo village.
He said that the man was working in a private company. A police officer said that it is premature to say whether it is suicide or murder,However, investigation in this regard has been taken up. —
A pedestrian was killed in a road accident in Panzinara area of Srinagar outskirts on Saturday. Official sources told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that a pedestrian identified as Bashir Ahmad Mir, son of Ghulam Mohi-ud-din Mir of Dangerpora Panzinara was hit by Wagon-R vehicle at Panzinara area.
They said he was taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead on arrival.Meanwhile, local police has registered a case in this regard and started investigations.
A man was found dead in a shop in Mangal Market near Railway Station in Jammu distric, police sources said.
The victim was identified as Shyam Kumar, son of Koushal Parsad, a resident of Laxmipuram Chinore Bantalab District Jammu.
Inquest proceedings under Section 174 CrPC have been initiated by Bahu Fort Police. Sources /agencies
