Srinagar, October 6 : Indian army and paramilitary forces martyred four Kashmiri youth in two different incidents of military violence in Shopian district in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
Indian army’s 44 Rashtriya Rifles and 14 BN Central Reserve Police Force during cordon and search operation killed Zubair Maqbool Wani, Jamsheed Ahmad Magray & Hanaan Bin Yaqoob in Drach Keegam area of Shopian district.
Zubair Ahmed Wani, had been missing from his home since August 20. “A student of class 11, Zubair left his home to offer Friday prayers with his scooter, but did not return. We have been trying to call him since, but to not avail,” his family had told media men.
The family members of Hanan Bin Yaqoob of Karimabad Pulwama said hewas missing from July 25.
“Hanan was released after 14 months of detention under the black law Public Safety Act on July 19. Two days ago, he left home for some work and since then, he has been untraceable,” they had said on July 28.
Meanwhile, Indian army’s 44 Rashtriya Rifles and 178 BN Central Reserve Police Force in another operation killed Arif Rashid Wani at Moolu area of Shopian.
Bodies will be sent to north Kashmir for a burial, the official said. The authorities have refused to hand over bodies of martyred youth to their families, , since April 2020. This has prevented people from holding massive funeral prayers for victims, wherein tens of thousands of people would normally participate.
