New Delhi India 7, 2022 – A 19-year-old Hindu BSc student girl has died by suicide after her Muslim student friend was beaten to death by the Hindu woman’s family over their friendship in Indian state Uttar Pradesh’s Saharanpur district.
The 20-year-old Muslim died in a hospital in Dehradun after the beating by the Hindus. After she received the news of the Muslim youth’s death, the girl (19) died by suicide, according to the Times of India.
The girl’s family was reportedly opposed to their inter-faith marriage. Both victims were BSc students and hailed from the Islampur locality of Rampur Maniharan region in Uttar Pradesh’s Saharanpur district.
