Dalit girl gang-raped, set afire in UP by upper caste Hindu men, Delhi girl raped by doctor in Amritsar

Pilibhit (Uttar Pradesh) Amritsar, Punjab, September 12: A Dalit girl was gang-raped and set on fire by two upper caste Hindutva men in Indian state Uttar Pradesh  governed by BJP. The 16-year-old girl is undergoing treatment at a hospital and is in a serious condition, Superintendent of Police Dinesh Kumar Prabhu said. Two men have been arrested in connection with the incident, police said, adding the accused first raped the girl and then tried to kill her by setting her afire after pouring diesel on her. 

The incident took place in the Madhav Tanda area of the district on September 7, the police said. However, it came to light when a video, wherein the victim is narrating her ordeal, went viral the other day.The girl with burn injuries was admitted to the hospital on September 7.
On the complaint of the girl’s family, a case was registered against the two accused persons under the Indian Penal Code, the police officer said. 
Meanwhile, a Delhi girl has accused a doctor, also of Delhi, of raping her after bringing her to Amritsar four days ago. She said the accused brought her to the holy city on the pretext of providing her a job. The victim lodged a complaint with the Madhu Vihar police station in Delhi where the Delhi police registered a zero FIR and forwarded it to the city police for further investigation and action.
