Cancer patient Parvez Ahmad Pallavi detained under black law PSA

Srinagar, November 16, 2019: The 33-year-old Parvez Ahmad Pallavi who is a cancer patient was arrested by Indian police on August 6 this year from his house in Matibugh in Kulgam was shifted to Indian jail in Utter Pardesh. Parvez Ahmad Pallavi ,a pro-freedom activist is facing so many health problems  .
The authorities has claimed the High Court that Parvez Ahmad Pallavi (33-year-old), who has been suffering from cancer and detained under the black law Public Safety Act (PSA), has been examined by doctors in Indian state Uttar Pradesh. 
This was revealed by the JK authority in response to a habeas corpus petition challenging detention of Parvez Ahmad Pallavi a resident of Matibugh village, Kulgam, , who has been lodged in a jail in Bareilly, UP in India since Aug 6 this year. Jammu and Kashmir is under president rule since Aug 2018. 
The administration in its response has submitted that Pallavi, who has been lodged outside J&K, has a history of tissue cancer. He has been examined by the doctors. The response has been seen by the court, said a lawyer representing the detainee.
 The lawyer added that the petition was listed before a Single Bench today, but due to the paucity of time, it was heard.
“Now the matter has been listed again on November 18. We hope that the court considers it for the final hearing,” he said.
 The petition filed by parents of Pallavi first came up before a Single Bench of Justice Sanjeev Kumar on August 30, who issued notices to the government respondents directing them to file a response by September 23. 
As the medical condition was specifically mentioned in the petition, Justice Kumar had directed the authorities to ensure that proper medical care was provided to Pallavi.
 As per the police dossier, Pallavi was booked under the PSA by Kulgam District Magistrate Showkat Aijaz.  He was arrested by police during house raid from his home on August 6 and subsequently booked under the draconian law PSA and flown out of the Kashmir Valley.
