Another Dalit boy in hospital after teacher beats him in Indian state Rajasthan

BarmerAugust 24, 2022 :The Dalit boy who is a student of Class 7, has been hospitalized with injuries to his head after being beaten up by his Hindutva teacher Ashok Mali, in Indian state Rajasthan’s Barmer, days after a similar incident was reported in the same state. The boy, who is a student of Class 7, had left out a question during a test, following which his teacher beat him and slammed him against the wall, his brother - also a student of Class 7 at the same school - said. He was taken home with an injury to his head, unconscious. The parents then admitted him to the hospital.

 
“We were conducting tests in our classes when a boy came running and said that his brother had been beaten up by their teacher and he asked me to come with him,” a teacher told India Today TV.
 
“I brought the boy with me, and gave him water and food. His brother brought a tablet and gave it to him. I asked him about the medicine and tried calling the family. But the call didn’t get connected. Soon, the boy went home with his brother,” she added.
The boy complained of stomach pain after he was brought in, Dr Dilip Chaudhary, a surgeon, said. His health is now fine, the doctor said.
