Lucknow, March 26 :A nine-year-old Dalit boy was thrashed by his uppper caste Hindu teacher for drinking water from a pond while a Muslim vendor was physically assaulted with sticks and rods by a Hindutva mob in Indian state Uttar Pradesh.
The boy’s parent said that their child was suffering from stomach pain for quite a few days.
When the child felt the pain again while in school, he drank some water from the nearby pond in Jalun district of the state.
On noticing, his teacher Shashi Yadav locked him inside a room and thrashed him to such an extent that the child’s nose started to bleed.
On receiving the information, the boy’s mother rushed to the school and questioned the teacher. However, the teacher remained unapologetic about his actions and even threatened her.
The child’s parents lodged a complaint with the Orai Kotwali station. Furthermore, the parents submitted a memorandum was submitted by the child’s parents to the district collector and the district basic education officer seeking appropriate action.
Hindutva mob assaults Muslim vendor in UP
Ghaziabad, India, March 25 : A Muslim vendor was physically assaulted with sticks and rods by a Hindutva mob in Nandgram’s Ghukna market, in Indian state Uttar Pradesh.
Ghaziabad police have arrested six people in this regard. The video of the attack has gone viral on social media platforms.
The incident happened on Friday at around 10:00am. The victim has been identified as Danish, a resident of the Nandgram area.
“Danish, a jaggery seller, was pressurised by the men to free his horse from the cart. When he refused, they assaulted him,” the Ghaziabad police told media men.
When nearby shopkeepers came to Danish’s rescue, they were also assaulted. An FIR was lodged on the basis of Danish’s police complaint.
Six people Anupam Kaushik (22), Ashish Kaushik (19), Pravesh Kaushik (48), Sukhveer (35), Titu (38), and Ashutosh (19) have been arrested. They are all residents of the Ghukna market.
A reflex steel, steel screw, steel rod of a mike, and three bamboo sticks were recovered by the Nandgram police. Agencies
