70 Sheep Dead, 80 Missing, Indian Police Arrest a Business Man, Man Shoots Wife, then Himself, Two Young Girls Died occupied Kashmir

Srinagar, April 19:  At least 70 sheep were killed and over 80 sheep are still missing and are feared dead in Wullar Lake in Bandipore district in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The incident occurred when the water level in Wullar Lake suddenly rose, killing at least 70 sheep and over 80 sheep are still missing and are feared dead in Lankerishipora area on the banks of Wullar Lake in North Kashmir’s Badnipora district.


The shepherd Ghulam Qadir who hails from Banihal area of Ramban district said that they visit the area every year owing to its greenery. “This patch of land is in the middle of Wullar Lake in a sense is a type of island.”
The water level suddenly rose. At least 150 sheep drowned. We have recovered the bodies of 70 sheep and 80 are still missing and feared dead,” Qadir said adding that with the help of locals, some kids who were taking care of these sheep were safely evacuated.
He said every year, the water level rises in the lake, but due to incessant rains, this time the water level rose beyond our expectations. “We had intended to spend two to three days here and were supposed to move to another place,” he said.
The sheep belonged to different people who all were mourning requesting to the government to extend all possible help to them.
INDIAN POLICE ARREST A BUSINESS MAN, SEIZED RS 9.35 LAKH IN RAMBAN
Srinagar, April 19:  In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian police  during a checking operation  arrested a businessman and seized  his 9.35 lakh cash in Ramban district.
the Indian police during its routine harassment checking intercepted a car which was on its way from Ramban to Dharam and without any reason seized a total of 1,870 notes of 500 denomination with a total value of 9,35,000 from a businessman Tariq Ahmed.
During questioning, businessman Tariq Ahmed said he is working with a contractor, the police officials said. The cash was seized by the police party as the matter pertains to be of tax evasion, they claimed.
MAN SHOOTS WIFE, THEN HIMSELF, TWO YOUNG GIRLS DIED IIOJK
Srinagar, April 19:   A man, reportedly an ex-serviceman, shot himself and his wife in Kishtwar district.
police official said that one Ghulam Hussain shot his wife and later shot himself with 12 bore rifle in Thakrie area of the district.
The official said the lady survived and the man is now critical.The duo has been shifted to the hospital and the police have started an investigation into the matter, he said.
On the other hand, a nineteen-year-old girl Tazeem Akhter died under mysterious conditions in Charhan area of Rajouri district while a 12- year old girl identified as Sonabar Jan died in a road accident in Trumgund Sopore area of  Baramulla district.
Police said that the death in Charhan area of Rajouri district has taken place in mysterious conditions, the investigation and inquest proceedings have been started.
Meanwhile, Indian police arrested nine persons including a woman on the name of  drug peddler with contraband of cannabis in different areas of Baramulla, Kulgam, Pulwama and Jammu districts. The police claimed to have recovered contraband substances from their possessions.
