Srinagar, September 14: Three boys were injured after an unexploded shell went off in Shirmal area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Tuesday . An unexploded shell went off when some boys fiddled with it, resulting in injuries to three minor boys, all the injured were shifted to to PHC Litter, where their condition was said to be stable.
The unexploded shell was deliberately left behind by Indian Army during a cordon and search operation in the area of Heff Shirmal area of Shopian. Indian troops had martyred one youth during a cordon and search operation launched in Heff Shirmal, in IIOJK on Monday.
Indian troops launched cordon and search operations in Manjakote and Thanamandi areas of Rajouri.
An unidentified semi-decomposed was recovered from Veshaw Nallah near Nehama area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Tuesday afternoon.
“The body is in a semi-decomposed state and the identity of the deceased was being ascertained,” police said.
Body of an unknown handicapped man of age about 38 years was found at Railway Station, Jammu. The deceased is wheatish in colour and wearing white T-shirt and brown trouser, police in Jammu said.
A 36-year-old Hashim Ahmed Najar son of Muzaffar Ahmed, a resident of Mandir Bagh died after hit by an unknown speeding vehicle in Mandirbagh area of Srinagar city falling under the jurisdiction of police station Kralkhud.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident and registered case under relevant sections of law.
