3 Indian army aspirants rape Dalit girl in Haryana

 Mahendergarh, July 07 : A 19-year-old Dalit girl was raped by three Indian army aspirants in Rewari’s Bawal area in the Indian state of Haryana. The rapists were arrested and produced in a court, which sent them to judicial custody. The accused have been identified as Jitender alias Khali, Radheshyam alias Tau and Neeraj alias Pepsu, all from Mahendergarh district.

“They have been booked for gang rape and other sections of the IPC, along with sections of SC/ST Act,” inspector Vidya Sagar, SHO of Bawal police station, said.
Sagar said the accused were taking coaching in an academy near Bawal, where they came in contact with the woman.
 
“Around three weeks ago, they lured the woman and took her to a room near a jungle area, where they took turns to rape her,” the SHO added. The woman alleged that when she opposed them, the trio threatened to kill the victim, her father and brother. She finally opened up to her parents who took her to the police station.The SHO said that the medical checkup of the woman confirmed rape. 
 
Meanwhile, another Hindutva leader, Keshav Murthy, has committed blasphemy, this time, of the Holy Quran in the Indian state of Karnataka. 
Keshav Murthy is the state convener of an extremist organization called Hindu Jagaran Vedike. In a speech this week— when some Hindu activists were protesting the killing of tailor Kanhaiya Lal in Udaipur, Rajasthan Keshav Murthy said, "The Quran says kill people. So, don't you think those who read the Quran will follow the same? Those who read the Quran are terrorists."
 
Police in Kolar in Karnataka have registered a case against him and others for making derogatory statements against the Quran and Muslims.
The complaint was lodged by Zameer Ahamad, president of the organisation Anjuman-e-Islamia.The case against Keshav Murthy has been registered under Indian Penal Code.
