2 women killed by Indian forces in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur, 2 die in Manipur explosion

 Raipur, February 28, 2022 : Two women were killed by Indian forces in disturbed state Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur district in India, a senior official said. The two women were killed on Sunday morning by Indian forces near Jabeli village under Naimed police station area when a joint team of different security forces including District Reserve Guard (DRG) and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) was out on an operation, Inspector General of Police (Bastar Range) Sundarraj P told PTI. The police described them the members of rebellion demanding justice and Azadi from Indian hegemony.

 
Bodies of two female cadres were recovered from the spot along.
 
Reinforcement was rushed to the area and search operation was still under way, he added.
 
Meanwhile, two persons, including a minor, were killed and five others suffered injuries after a mortar accidentally exploded in Manipur’s Churachandpur district on Saturday, the police said.
 
The incident took place at Mualkawi village when a few children were playing with the mortar they had found nearby, a police officer said.
 
Meanwhile, the Indian forces arrested two people labeling them as Maoists during the ongoing “Operation Double Bull”, a top police officer said on Saturday.
 
Inspector General of Police (Operations) Amol V Homkar said the slain Maoists were identified as Sudarshan Bhuiyan (alias Nand Kishor Bharti) and Balak Ganjhu.
Both were sub-zonal commanders of the CPI (Maoists), Homkar said.
 
Bhuiyan, who is wanted in 57 cases, was arrested from Sildalia in Palamu district, while Ganjhu, wanted in 25 cases, was arrested from Dewbar area in Latehar district on Friday. sources
