Chitrakoot (UP),July 31: Thirteen Indian police personnel incluidng a former officer booked on a fake encounter case in Indian stete Utter Pardash. A case of murder has been registered against 13 police personnel, including a former superintendent of police, in connection with an fake encounter in Chitrakoot area of the state.
Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Shailendra Kumar Rai said, “The FIR was lodged at the Bahilpurva police station g as per a special court order.”
The court of special judge Vineet Narayan Pandey issued the order while hearing a plea by a woman, Nathunia, who said that her husband Bhalchandra was picked up by a police team on March 31, 2021 and killed him in a fake encounter.
Nathunia had approached the police over this, but as they did not act on her complaint, she moved the court, her advocate Rajendra Yadav said.
Acting on the court order, the FIR was lodged against the then SP Ankit Mittal, sub-inspectors Amit Kumar, Santosh Kumar, Shravan Kumar Singh, and Anil Kumar Sahu, head constables Uma Shankar, Shivanand Shukla, and Raees Khan, constables Dharmendra Kumar, Rahul Yadav, Deendayal Singh, Ramkesh Kushwaha, and Ramesh Chandra, and some unidentified people.
The accused have been booked under murder, voluntarily causing hurt, kidnapping, and dacoity among others, the officer said.
An investigation has been initiated, he added.

The three MLAs include Ansari, Kachchap and Kongari were stopped by the police on Saturday evening in Howrah area of Indian state West Benga after a huge amount of cash was found in their vehicle, a senior officer claimed.
The Congress said the saffron party’s game plan is to do in Jharkhand what they did in Maharashtra.
After rebel Sena leader Eknath Shinde was sworn in as the Maharashtra Chief Minister recently, the Congress had hit out at the BJP for capturing power “unethically”
The Jharkhand Congress also said that the huge amount of cash was part of a conspiracy by the BJP to topple the Hemant Soren Government, of which it is a part along with Lalu Prasad Yadav’s Rashtriya Janata Dal.
Howrah Superintendent of Police (Rural) Swati Bhangalia had claimed, “We had specific inputs that a huge amount of money was being transported in a black car. We started checking the vehicles and intercepted this SUV in which three Jharkhand MLAs were travelling. A huge amount of cash was found in the vehicle.”
“Cash counting machines are being brought in to ascertain the total amount. The MLAs are also being questioned about the source of the money and where it was being taken to,” she added.
