Srinagar, April 10: A 21 year old student Sajad Ahmad Dar son of Abdul Rehman Dar resident of Kralteng area of Sopore was killed in Sopore town on Sunday evening. The victim student of a poor family was a resident of Kralteng Gassi Mohalla.
Reports said that at about 7.45 PM people living in the Kralteng heard some pistol shots and came out of their houses. They saw a 21- year old youth lying in a pool of blood. Sajjad Ahmad Dar son of Abdul Rehman Dar of was a 12th class student.
Sajad was reported kidnapped by unidentified gunman having a pistol in his hand fired some shots at him. He sustained grievous injuries and passed away at the site where he was fired. “The gunmen fired at him from point blank range at Rahim Sahib area, some meters away from his residence and fled away. Dar had sustained multiple bullet injuries and died on spot,” the reports said.
The body of Sajad was sent to the nearby hospital for post-mortem.
Interestingly, Sajad's house is located near the residence Mohalla of Arifa and Akhtar, the two girls who were killed by Indian armed agents in the same area on January 31.
Pertinently, on April 9 unidentified gunmen shot dead Muhammad Aslam Thakre son of Abdul Rehman in Ganderbal while another Ghulam Mohiuddin Bhat was killed at Pinglish, Tral on March 30.
