Srinagar, October 18, 2012 : The family of a mechanic, Kala Khan of Lisana village of Tehsil Surankote, who was killed in a fake encounter by Indian troops in 12 February 2002, is still waiting for justice. The deceased Kala Khan was the lone bread-earner of his wife, six daughters and three sons. His family members have been knocking at all the doors including the Human Rights Commission of Lasj,or for last 10 years to get justice but did not succeed.
Although, the Human Rights Commission had issued directives to the Director General of Police (DGP) of Kashmir under FIR No 112. 2002, 16september 2011 to probe the case but the directive was not entertained.
Tariq Mehmood Khan, son of the deceased Kala Khan, in a media interview said that he knocked at all the doors for seeking justice but badly failed. He added that during the last 10 years he could not get justice but rather physically and mentally tortured by police and other personnel of Indian agencies.
