Srinagar, August 20, 2021 :A Kashmiri youth serving a private company was thrashed by a gang of six persons in Gurgoan area in Indian state Haryana.The Kashmiri youth identified as Tariq Bhat, a resident of Handwara works as Financial Advisor in a financial technology company Policybazaar, was intercepted by a group of six youth in Gurgoan citys  Sector 44 in Haryana  on Thursday evening.
Tariq Bhat, 24, left his office in sector 44 of Gurgaon and was walking towards his rented accommodation – some two kilometres away from his office when a group of unidentified men grabbed his neck, another blindfolded him and the rest began beating him mercilessly.
 

”One among them stretched my t-shirt and another one attempted to kill me with a sharp thing. But luckily that thing was stuck in my T-shirt and could not harm me,” he said in a complaint filed to the police.
An FIR has been registered at the Sushant Lok Police Station in Gurugram under Sections 506 (criminal intimidation), 34 (Acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) and 323 (voluntarily causing hurt).
Bhat is a resident of Rajwar area of north Kashmir’s Handwara district of IIOJK and has been working in Gurgaon for the last five months. He is the sole bread earner of his family.
J&K Students Association president Nasir Khuehami wrote a series of tweets condemning the incident and seeking action against the culprits.
Policybazaar also expressed solidarity with Bhat. ”We stand in support of our employee, Tariq Bhat & are in constant touch with local authorities to help him… We will do everything possible to ensure the safety of everyone from the Policybazaar family.,” it said in a tweet.

A Kashmiri Youth was thrashed brutally in Gurgoan area of Haryana State. Boy identified as Tariq Bhat from Handwara Kashmir was beaten by around 12 goons in Sector 44 Area of Gurgoan. He is working in Policy bazar, a Corpo. Company as Financial Advisor from Two years. 1/n
