SRINAGAR, April 4 : students of 10th class studying in Government Boys High School Gagangeer Sonamarg in Ganderbal district on Monday protested against the non-availability of transport facility in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir,.
The students blocked Srinagar-Leh highway near Gagangeer said that not a single vehicle was picking them during school timing due to which their education is suffering.
A student told media men that around a dozen students are late to the school everyday as no vehicle in the area stops to pick them up. “Every day at 9 AM, we reach the bus stop, but no public transport vehicle picks us up till 11 AM. Most of us have to return home every day,” a student said.
They said that the students have been instructed from the school admin to reach the school by nine o ‘clock but due to lack of transport, it gets hard for them to reach school on time.
