A student killed by Indian CRPF bullets in Zainakote Srinagar, Youth hit by tear gas shell on head in Zainakote succumbs

Srinagar, Nov 07, 2015: A 22 year-old  student Gowhar Dar was killed after Indian paramilitary armed forces used brute force and fired teargass shells and opened bullet fire on protesters at Zainakote area of HMT in outskirt’s of Srinagar city on Saturday evening.   Official sources told media men that paramilitary personnel of 44 bn  of Indian Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF)used teargas shells and opened bullets to disperse the protesters resulting in injuries to at least two persons at Zainakote area.
One among the two youths sustained serious injuries. The injured youth , 22 year-old Gowhar Ahmad Dar son of Shahid Ahmad Dar, of Mustafa Abad in HMT was immediately shifted to Soura Institute of Medical Sciences Soura where he succumbed to injuries.

Gowhar Ahmad Dar was an engineering student of SSM College Pattan. The youth were protesting against curbs imposed to foil ‘Million March’ called by Syed Ali Geelani.An official said Gowhar Nazir Dar, 22, was shifted to Soura Institute of Medical Sciences  where he succumbed to his injuries. He said that paramilitary CRPF men fired tear gas shells  and opened fire on youths were demonstrating against curbs placed today to foil ‘Srinagar million march’ .

SSP Srinagar Amit Kumar admitting said that CRPF men fired tear gas shells.   “One of them hit the head of a youth, Gowher Nazir Dar, 22. He was shifted to SKIMS, Soura, where he succumbed,” he said.
