Srinagar, Feb 23, 2017: Students of Kashmir University, today, staged protest against custodial disappearance of a law student Aqir Malik. The 3rd semester law student Aqir Malik on 14th Feb, 2017 raised voice against the innocent killings during a protest organized by the student in the University camps. The student was receiving threats by Indian intelligence agencies.
After attending the class, the student left the University on 21th February and did not reach his home at Shopian. The students were demanding whereabouts of the student.
Aqib Malik, a resident of south Kashmir’s Shopian district delivered a lecture during a protest organised by students some days back against the Kulgam civilian killings. Two civilians were killed at Frisal Kulgam in force’s action during a gunfight on February 14.
Kashmir University students had held a protest the other day against the said killings.
