Srinagar, July 10, 2011: Two teenage boys were killed and two others including a minor girl were injured seriously when a shell that was collected from the gun-battle site in south Kashmir's Pulwama exploded inside their house. The deceased have been identified as Obaid Yusuf Lone, 13 and Adil Ahamd Teli, 17, both hailing from Hajan village in Rajpora where a fierce gun-battle had raged between government forces and militants of Friday evening. Sources said the boys had found the live shell near the gun-battle site in the afternoon and had brought it home.
They were both rushed to sub district hospital where doctors declared them brought dead. The injured have been identified as Mehrajuddin, or Ishfaq Ahmad Lone, 32, and a minor girl whose identity could not be ascertained so far.
Pertinently, two siblings were killed and three others injured in an accidental blast in Maloora on the Srinagar City outskirts on February 13, 2011. 15-year-old Noor Mohammed, son of Mohammad Maqbool Bhat was fiddling with an explosive device of Indian army at his Maloora residence, a day after a military operation had taken place in the vicinity, when it exploded. The explosion left Noor Mohammad, his sisters, Bisma, 9, Muskan, 4, Mumtaz, 16 and mother Yasmeena injured. However, Mohammad and Bisma succumbed to injuries.
